It probably still supports normal memory sticks but the games come in their own stick format separately.
Nah, “media storage” is also in proprietary format.
Sony beat you to a portable LBP by like, more than a year.
But yeah, LBP2 in this would be pretty sweet
I didn’t bother getting LBP for my PSP, it seemed a bit lame.
Same. I have no interest in getting the same game for a system I never play with worse graphics and controls. Yeah, I gave it a miss.
I loved starwars battlefront II.
It was fucking awesome on the psp despite the weird face button aiming.
Now that there are two analog sticks I expect a lot of great shit like that on this one.
Also if the ps1 games are available on it in psn it’s instasold AGAIN for me.
Spyro the dragon portable? Fuck yeah.
Eh, PSone games weren’t really that great. The Nintendo 64 had far better games for that generation. I can’t even go back and play some PSone games because I can’t get over how horrid 32 bit really is, and I’m not a graphics gamer by any means. Just about the only games worth playing on the system are the Final Fantasy titles, and even then, that’s questionable at best.
Totally irrelevant to the subject matter at hand, but thank you.
You’re kidding.
Bro the PSX had good games no matter you saying.
You obviously played the wrong games. As far as I can tell, the only things the N64 really had graphically over the PSX were texture smoothing and actually showing you the part of the model that is supposed to be there. (based on my experience and doing no actual research) The latter bugged me about the PSX, but not enough to make me unwilling to play the system.
this argument is still invalid because the PSP1 plays PS1 games better than the real PS1
I’ll give you that much. You know, you’d think the PS3 would be able to do a better job at the texture smoothing than the PSP.
and to think that when they announced PS1 games on the psp they played the worst ps1 game on it
ITS RIDGE RACER!
crowd stays silent
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACER!!!
crowd still silent
I think the major appeal of the PSone came from the young demographic clamoring for anything with blood in it. As this trend continues today, when you still hear people complaining that Nintendo’s systems don’t have enough ‘M’ in them.
That all depends on the game and how much experimentation you want to do with POPs
So technically, the PS1 plays them better, but I agree that they look better on the PSP.
you can’t fast forward on the PSx
As far as I know, using Sony’s POPs emulator without hacks, you can’t either, but it wouldn’t surprise me if people figured it out
That’s not so much the problem as the console having a shortage of titles that aren’t fucking party games.
Wut. Obviously there a lot of people in this thread that didn’t own PSx’s.
download ePSXe
now you do
Maxx is just trying to defend himself even though he knows he’s wrong. there’s a huge list of very, very good games on the PSX, none of the demographic bullshit will change that
