PSP2 is gonna kick ass!

I’m just gonna go ahead and say I don’t want it

It’s called NGP. Next Generation Playstation Portable.

I think that’s just a temporary name. They’ll most probably call it PSP2 in the end.

Shouldn’t it be then NGPP?

Kaddo, it’s just next generation portable, it might as well be called the NGPP…but it’s not.

Personally, I’m in awe at this. Sony always have a knack of stunning you with their hardware. But I thought so after the leak, and I think so now; The rear touchpad seems awkward and a little bit of a gimmick

this reminds me of how much i wanted the original when it first came out

this reminds me how i got it when it came out and have actually enjoyed about 3 games on it ever

As long as the new games aren’t exclusive to that version, I’ll stick with my good ol’ PSP-1000

I’ll buy it as soon as I see a deal that’s twice cheaper than retail, that’s what it will do after the first year.

HAHAHAHA!!!

Did you seriously just fucking say that?

You don’t seem to understand how Sony’s marketing works.

The release a console.

The release a bunch of games for that console.

They release a new console.

They release a bunch of new games that can’t be played on the original console, so you have no choice but to upgrade to the new £200 console if you want to play them.

Then they privately laugh at the people who buy their new console, while telling them that it’s for the best.

I have every respect for Sony, but they do have quite a vicious way of marketing their products.

It’s got nothing to do with vicious in this case…even the most dedicated developer might think twice about making the entire game again, the gap between the two systems is such that that’d probably be the case

Yeah. I suspect they’re basing that claim on the fact that it’s a smaller screen at a lower resolution, so it’s perceptually the “same” as 1080p (which is partially true, that’s also how Liemax justifies using two 2k projectors overlapped and saying it’s perceptually the same as Imax because they moved the seats closer to the screen).

But I doubt that it will be able to do a lot of the other graphics stuff that a PS3 can do. Then again, the mobile phone market has pushed smaller computer technology to insane places since the PS3 came out, so maybe it won’t be too far off. Mutant Bash TV, crappy as the gameplay is, has incredible graphics and that’s just on an iPhone.

Well even if it is only the impression of the same graphics at the same screen, then what is the difference. It’s like buying a Blu-Ray for a TV screen the size of a laptop, there is no point, the DVD will look just as good but won’t really be.

I am personally looking forward to it, but I always say that and never buy the product.

I haven’t had a portable gaming device since the advent of the Gameboy Advance. I’ll probably get one of these, if not a ps3

I’ll probably get one eventually for the homebrew scene.

A handheld this powerful will really open up doors for indies.

This and the 3ds.
