It’s supposed to set well after the events of Ep 3 as well isn’t it. Wonder if we’ll get a glimpse outside of Apperture science to see how successful Dr. Freeman was in his exploits. Then again if no one has noticed the research facility in that time. Then again if no one has noticed the research facility in that time I’m thinkin the Gordon didn’t get on that well…

Yeah but 200 years is a long time, and if anyone from Apperture survived I’m sure they’d be interested to see if any of their research did too. After all even Black Mesa seemed to know about the Borealis and were interested in the tech there. Meh, it was only a throwaway thought anyway, lol.

It’s not necessarily time-travel, and we have hints (if not obvious clues) that Gordon Freeman was put in stasis between the events of HL1 and HL2, so the idea is definately not new in the HL universe.

Portal 2 plays centuries after Portal 1. Chell was frozen, like the way Gordon Freeman was. But the G-Man didn’t do it. The robot in the end of Portal 1 put you in stasis
