According to the article, it’s coming out on Mac.
That’s so many years later, just makes me question about what’s happening on the outside world, have the Combine been overrun? Or are they still dominating the planet? And what’s Gordon doing? :FFFUUU:

@Adam We know that at least that part of the planet is intact and as far as we know no one has gone through the facility since Portal 1. Gordon is probably in stasis.

This is great news though. I have a feeling that Portal 2 is the bridge that Valve is building before Episode 3. I imagine that it’s a bridge both in terms of graphics (as Portal 2’s seem superior to Episode 2’s) and in terms of story. You can be fairly certain that Portal 2 will reveal more of the connection betweem itself and the Half-Life universe.
Speaking of graphics, is everyone noticing and appreciating the change in appearance? From the scans, Valve has improved the detail and intricacy of its designs, and greatly improved shadows, reflections and lighting. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that Episode 3 is due out perhaps 6-8 months after Portal 2.

And yeah, the graphical improvements look really nice.

Yeah I really like the foliage coming out of the Portals. However, there is just about an equal amount of concept art as to actual screenshots, and they’re blending the two together in the photos…
I’m glad it’s going to Mac. This is a smart move on Valves part. Think about how much it is going to increase their community support! 
And if it goes on macs then other companies may decide to do so to their games too.
Make them compatible, yes, but current Macs can’t handle the L4D2 Source engine, let alone whatever build Portal2 will be using, so unless Mac makes an adjustment to their next computer and releases it between now and December, I wouldn’t count on getting Portal2 for a while.

apparently, portal 2 takes place centuries after portal 1.
People seem to think Portal 2 will have some big cross-over with the Half-Life universe, but that’s not the case. Valve said so themselves, there will only be nods and references at most. The comic tone of Portal doesn’t fit in with the Half-Life universe.
