No, but being white does.
She’s not white. :what:
What’s with all the racism that appeared on the forum.
Did someone give console gamer’s links to the forum and all the minorities decided to join or something?
I thought valve community was one of the only places left for me to get away from all the blacks/Puerto Rican’s making racial slurs.
From the looks of it that had to be taken away too.
sombody send this to the mith busters!!!
Nobody said anything even remotely racist, What are you talking about?
So, all those French, Spanish, British, Finnish, Swedish, Russian…
I was nearly crying when I saw Wheatley hovering around in space at the end.
Uhuhuhuh… :retard:

This song it’s in Italian!
Cara bell’, cara mia bella,
Mia bambina, o ciel!
Che la stima,
Che la stima,
O cara mia, addio!
La mia bambina cara,
perché non passi lontana?
Sì, lontana da Scienza,
Cara, cara mia bambina,
Ah, mia bell’!
Ah, mia cara!
Ah, mia cara!
Ah, mia bambina!
O cara, cara mia…
//
Dear lovely, my lovely darling,
My child, oh sky! (bambina= female child) (It’s a exclamation, “o ciel’/o cielo” sounds like Chell)
For it holds her in esteem, (understood subject / the sky )
For it holds her in esteem,
Oh my dear, farewell!
My dear girl,
why do you not pass far?
Yes, far from Science (usually in Italian should be la scienza / the science but in this case Scienza seems be designed as a proper name)
my dear, my dear girl,
Ah, my lovely!
Ah, my dear!
Ah, my dear!
Ah, my child!
Oh dear, my dear…
there are some things not clear. For example, When I listen more carefully the fifth line I realized that the voice don’t say “O cara mia, addio!/Oh my dear, farewell!” but something like “O Terra mia, addio/Oh my land, farewell”.
And you sould keep in mind that “Terra” means both “land” and “earth”. I’m still not sure at 100% 'cause the voice is heavily modified …
thanks for that!
i wasn’t sure if it were words when i heard it the first time
on topic, i found the single player ending was very good. most of all it was an ending, you really got the feeling it ended there, not some cliffhanger or something.
coop ending was entertaining and maybe hints at a new game. though not with chell, maybe
nothing is certain
Maybe she’s singing “Mia bambina, O Chell” not “Oh sky” (which doesn’t make sense to me).
so it’s “Ah, my child, O Chell!” implying Chell is a clone made by GLaDOS, then.
“Oh sky” could also be translated as “Oh Heavens!”
Imply: to involve by logical necessity.
It implies GLaDOS might see her self as a mother-figure to Chell, if you take it too literally, you can possibly interpret it as Caroline being Chell’s actual mother. Saying it’s because she’s a Clone takes a big stretch of the imagination.
not really. there was rumours that GLaDOS was making clones in Portal, and wasn’t there clones in the ending of the co-op?
O ciel’
It’s an idiomatic expression, frequently used in the opera. Sounds a bitt different from “Oh Chell”
literally means “sky”, but in a broad sense could indicate the haven or God’s will.
And It’s clearly a word trick with Chell’s name.
Does that face remind anyone else of Michael Jackson?
Beautiful.
I love it. It activates a lot of emotions in my heart I’ve almost forgotten about.
It certainly is creepy as hell.
holy shit relizationg
wheatley is returning
you are in a WHEEAT field at the end of the game
