Parts of Half Life you didn't like

magu, what movie is your sig from?

on-topic: i hated forget about freeman and lambda complex (i didnt know the code written in blood existed on my first playthrough, so i did hte teleporter puzzles entirely by guesswork), and the parts in episode 1 where you were completely in the dark. God damn.

It’s from the TV show NCIS, season 7 episode 1. I made it myself.

:retard:
I’ve played the game twice and never noticed this either. Real men use trial and error :freeman: .

Lol I never noticed either

Pretty much most of the second half of HL2. Its a great game, but most of the City 17 sections I was glad to be done with. Also didn’t care for the Antlion caves in Episode 2.

In the process of playing the first game, which I’m actually enjoying more than the second. (Could be because I have Orange Box on 360 and am playing this on PC, but probably not) Just killed the assassins and got escaped the trash compactor. Have enjoyed this thoroughly so far.

Definitely “On a Rail”

yummy!

This.

That’s a boring way of doing it.

damn true bro !

I actually liked On A Rail. It had its moments.

I just replayed Ravenholm today and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I remember but it still is one of my least favorite parts. Stupid fast zombies :meh: .

The only parts of On a Rail that I liked were the parts when you actually got OFF of the rail.

OAR was easy as hell. I never used the tram.

I played through ravenholm on gmod and just nuked everyone.

I didn’t notice the code either but I still loved that puzzle, especially when it was done. :retard:

Half Life 2 Episode 2

oh, and On a Rail

:mean:

I will admit that it improved towards the end, but I didn’t think that they had the whole wilderness vibe down. I’d much rather stick to urban enviroments.

The Strider battle at the end of Episode 2. The Magnusson Device/Gravity Gun works fine but having to retrieve them over and over again and driving around the huge map feels clunky and slow. The repetitive (and lengthy) fighting gets really tiring really fast. I can see what they were trying to do but I just don’t care for how it turned out.

I’m still working on finishing Half Life 1, but I can safely say On A Rail has turned me away from the game for a little bit. It’s reassuring to see I’m not the only one in not love with it so I’ll try and push forward.
