OMG "x" is on sale thread.

Support for modern screen resolutions is just that important.

zomg must have, buying now
HD is almost an afterthought compared to being able to play aoe2 mp through steam. Getting that game to work online was a nightmare, I can’t even remember how we did it last time. Also not having to worry about disks or anything…oh and the HD. Yeah on Win7 I always had this problem with aoe2 where a lot of the grass would appear red, and to get it to go away you’d have to alt tab and close explorer.exe. So that will be nice not to have to do.

Okay, easy support for MP would be nice.

Rockstar is selling out all his stuff at 50%-75% discount

Yeah, I’m installing LA Noire right now. Good deal.

Hopefully I can run it decently.

Hey Pyro go buy the GTA collection ffs.

I went with the Rockstar Hits Collection: now I will finally complete the Max Payne series and the GTA series (except for GTA II)… see you in 2014

GTA I and II are both free on Steam to my knowledge.

Weren’t those just top-down driving games, though?

Yeah.

In any case, I just checked, and it seems that they’re actually only available through the GTA complete pack.

You can get the non-Steam versions here.

Directly from 1997

System Shock 2 is on sale for about seven bucks.

Also, System Shock 2 is on Steam.

Yeah and I bought it not long ago on GOG  I have nothing against GOG but I like having all my games in one place. It bothers me playing games that aren’t on Steam. Well, it used to more, I’m finding I care less and less as I have fewer real friends who use Steam now than I used to.

Mass Effect Collection for $10 on Steam. For all the shit ME3 gets, the series is still worth playing.

Snagged. Thanks for the heads up.

What are the DLCs in the Steam collection? I almost ended up buying the collection off Steam and retail ME3, and I wonder if I got any extra in comparison to Steam (I went for Origin purchase during their sale in the end), especially in DLC department.

You get the same DLC on Steam as anywhere else if you buy the Digital Deluxe Edition of ME2. Besides, you gotta buy all extra ME2 DLC through Bioware’s website.

ME3 is not on Steam.

Niiice. Well since I can’t see the extra ME2 DLCs on Steam, and Bioware just points me straight to Origin, I suppose Steam is a dead end DLC-wise. Plus, no ME3 on Steam.

As much as it sucks, Origin is the better choice for buying ME, IMHO. But let’s just look WHY. Because EA had to do the dumb thing and start Origin up in the first place.
