OMG "x" is on sale thread.

Rage for $5

y/n?

I picked it up, it seems like a nice game worth the $5. There were some technical problems when it was first released (and still some low texture quality things) but it seems like most of that stuff is ironed out.

For 5$ it’s a nice game imo if you enjoyed Borderlands 1.

I loved Rage and would recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants a good FPS. DLC is great too.

Shogun 2 is reallllly tempting me. Also, it’s a bit cheaper to buy the game then the DLCs separately than to buy the “Shogun 2 Pack” or something.

Definately buy Rage for that price. I regret preordering it, but it’s a great game in a lot of respects. Certainly your moneys worth there

Max Payne 3 for $14.99, and Crysis Collection for $17.49. 'Nough said.

The Longest Journey and Dreamfall are on sale. Apparently they’re some of the best adventure games ever made. Kind of on the fence though, how does everyone feel about those games?

TLJ is imo THE best point and click ever made. Buy it now thine boylover. Dreamfall though… The gameplay is horrible, but the story is as good as TLJ’s so you should consider it too imo.

I’ve actually been thinking, and I’ve never really gotten into point and click games, so I’m probably going to hold off.

What I am waiting for is VtMB and DA:O to go on sale. I’m also thinking of getting the D&D bundle on GoG.

When does the Steam sale end?

Necroing this thread because this is HUGE:

GOG.COM got the fucking rights to distribute System Shock 2. It’s on for ten bucks right now and there’s a fuckton of bonus material.

It also basically confirms that the recent unofficial patch was made by them, since it’s using it.

Ugh. Looks like I have another classic game to buy.

How in the hell?

That’s great.

Oh crap… and I said only 2 days ago in the other thread that I wanted to play that again… D:

Not really “on sale”, but GOG just lowered the price for a couple of games likeEmpire Earth, Myst, Outcast and Commando.

IN GLORIOUS HD

TAKE MY MONIES. ALL OF THEM. NOW.

So, uh, what is the point of having that game in HD? It’s just a 2D game.

Granted, it’s the best RTS game ever made, but what is to be gained from an HD port that can’t play multiplayer with the originals? (At least, that’s the inference I made, if this is wrong and someone has word from the publisher to back it up, then I’ll redact on that.)

Besides, you can get the original discs for ten bucks in a two pack with The Conquerors, and they work fine on modern OSs. (I installed on Vista no problem.)

Bigger resolution so you have more stuff on screen. Some textures are better too, from what I could see. And I lost my discs a couple of years ago, but that won’t happen again thanks to digital copies ! Also, while you won’t be able to play with the originals since MSN Gaming Zone is long gone, you’ll be able to play with Steam friends !

Does the new client run the fan patches? Mod support?

I see an achievement list in a thread on AOK Heaven.

I think the biggest plus for getting the HD version is that there might be some noobs playing it so you won’t get stomped by all the veteran AOK players right off the bat.
