Everyone I know has a modded 360, so it just surprises me when people say that PC owners are the only ones who pirate games.

You CAN mod your XBox 360, but don’t be surprised if Microsoft takes action to defend their product. And most of all: Don’t bitch about it when you get your ass handed to you.
This is why developers like consoles when it comes to DRM. One console, each and every one of them is identical. All they have to do is find the ones that are diffrent in any way, and pwn their asses!
Sure, this isn’t going to get EVERYONE, but that’s 1 million less cunts ruining my online experience.
So? Good for Microsoft.
What’s your point?
You honestly wrote that much just to bitch at my preference to LAN. Really? Are you serious?
Also a reason why Source games, (And many others for that matter,) are so wonderful in Steam. If you pirate them, they wont work, VAC will ban you, or you’ll have a horrible time going on low quality “cracked” servers with your broken-down, pirated copy of a great game you could have spent a little bit of money on.
Steam FTW.
Smartest thing I heard on the fourms in a while.
I pirated MW2 for PC but I bought it for 360. Downloaded it on PC on a friends recommendation to play single player on PC
Though multiplayer on 360 is better imo. But probably because I’ve put days of played time into CoD4 I couldn’t imagine switching to PC MP for it especially with how they jewed PC users on MW2.
This guy isn’t too happy about it either, he smashes his hands into the walls until hes bleeding.

And they call us Americans retarded.
fyi, this is why we split from England. That, and because their tea isn’t deep fried and filled with sugar.
what
I can’t seem to understand why people are doing that… I mean crying over MW2 and ruining your hands and stuff. what is going on
For some reason my Anti-Piracy-Meter isn’t picking up a signal. Too much interference caused by a large amount of epic win.
Also, to “someonerandm”
Our last argument ending in stalemate has pretty made me frustrated. Instead of going back and forth to accomplish nothing and with me playing the “gushing defensive” role, let’s get back to the source of my frustration:
So: What is YOUR definition of a “real gamer”?
One who is not a casual gamer, i.e. one who has played more than just the mainstream titles (Halo, COD, Gears of War, etc.).
In terms of sales of games you can see that there are two (or three) goups of people that buy games, you can see a gap between those people. The gaps would name the groups “casual” ad “hardore”.
God-damn that guy who stole all those copies of MW2 deserves them.
Double poop post.
Are you honestly so ignorant that you forgot your comment? About how PC users pirate more and whine more.
Again, I’ll just leave that there for you. Oh and of course it’s easy for you to bitch at PC gamers since your a console fanboy. I am in a clan that we dedicate our time and money to run a smooth experience for online players. We not only have built a community that people enjoy (because of the server) we also donate hundreds of dollars to modding and mapping communities.
So when a clan pre-orders a server for MW2 and gets it slammed back in their face, yea, we get pissed. That’s a whole year we have to deal with a useless server. When we have avid mappers that have not only created over a dozen (maybe even over 2 dozen) maps for the Call of Duty community, yea, we get mad at IWs decision.
When a company that was brought up by the PC community and wouldn’t be where they are now because of us, we get mad at the lack of support they give us after all we have done for them. Extending the life of their games for years. Creating new content constantly to help sell their game even after it’s been out for a while. It IS heartbreaking when IW takes away the features we so dearly love and then charge us more for less.
A 4.5hr compaign? Are you serious? IW used to be a respectable company. Now they have delved into the level of Bungie Games and created a soul less piece of crap game for more money. New and refreshing? Really? It’s the same damn game with a graphics engine that has been updated maybe 5%. Not to mention the content is now more frustrating and really isn’t anything new. You have to reach level 13 to actually play S&D? To play a gametype built into the multiplayer aspect of the game? What a joke!
I could go on and on and rip you to shreds john but I’m going to stop now for the sake of my fingers and the time.
No, please continue. I want to hear all of it.
Actually I’m not.
If I was a console fanboy, then why did I skip out on a PS3 last year for Christmas for a gaming PC, just so I could play Black Mesa and the superior versions of games (Valve games, Mass Effect, Deus Ex etc.) Personally, I love PC gaming as a whole.
But I’m a console native and relatively new to the PC gaming platform, so maybe I just don’t understand.
But go ahead and rip me to shreds if you like. It’s fun.
You didn’t get the memo, did you?
Activision does not want their games to last for years. They want to have just enough content to warrant a purchase but less enough content to make you want buy the next game. It’s called business and it works. I’m sure not even Valve makes the kind of money Activision does.
But let me reiterate my stance: Removing dedicated servers, mod support, and raising the price is a HUGE kick in the balls. But this is IW and Activision’s fault, not someone who just wants to play games without worrying about whether or not he has enough RAM or the right graphics card.
Also, no matter how mad this makes you, it still does not excuse piracy and cheating online, which some gamers proudly commented they did in the comments section of gaming news articles.
Also, loyalty is pretty much non-existent in the gaming world (see: Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, and many other PlayStation franchises going multiplatform), so IW switching platforms in nothing new, no matter how angry it makes you.
So just because YOU have an opinion on a few franchises, anyone that plays those franchises aren’t gamers?
No, its not that I necessarily don’t like those franchises (I only really don’t consider Halo to be good), its that those are the mainstream brands that people who do not really know anything about gaming culture know and play. Also, I never said that if you played them it made you a casual gamer.
No.
Casual gamers play “Wii Sports” and “Hasbro’s Family Game Night.” Those games are easy to play and get into, and is fun for the whole family. That’s why casual gamers play them. Not because they have good marketing (though some do.)
For example: My sister would be labled a “casual gamer,” because she doesn’t play games on a regular basis. And when she does, it’s mostly just Wii mini-game compilations.
I tried to get her into playing Halo… it’s was fucking hilarious. She kept forgetting which button did what, and she has no clue how to aim.
A “real” gamer plays games for a good portion of his/her time, and has the mental capacity to understand how to control a game. What franchises he/she plays matters little so long as it’s within a genre that’s widly accepted as a “REAL” gaming genre (ie FPS games, 3rd person shooters, RPGs, stealth games, platformers, adventure games etc. NOT mini-game compilations or fitness games.)
Don’t confuse XBox 360 or PS3 players with Wii owners.
