Can anyone confirm?
https://www.halflife3beta.com/
I’ll leave it to you.
fake
Beta? For a singleplayer game? Are you kidding me?
I’ll just instantly dismiss this unless Valve personally confirms it.
If this were from Valve, we’d’ve just finished a month-long super-ARG to find a countdown with at most a few days left.
If it really were Valve, you’d have to go into the html for the site, solve word and maths puzzled found inside, string the answers together in a certain order, decompile the code and paste it back into your address bar, upon which you would be taken to a site with a picture of a crowbar with three tiny etches scratched into the handle.
I like how people are still gullible enough to fall for this stuff.
Agree.
Ditto.
They’re not going to publicly release the beta for a AAA singleplayer game. I don’t even know why you would think that.
Nice name servers.
That is a countdown clock to Christmas.
HAVE A MERRY.
It is? I thought Christmas was on the 24th, not the 20th. :S
Well, that’s Christmas day, which is not celebrated in Sweden (where I live).
We open our presents on the 24th, after 15:00. I’m sorry if I caused any confusion.
On topic:
Audience member: Okay, um. What about Half-Life 3?
[audience laughter]
Newell: Funny you should mention that. I would like to state right now that the next Half-Life game will officially be exclusive on Linux platforms.
[audience cheers]
Newell: Many might say, Gabe, there isn’t a strong enough gamer base on Linux, you will lose money! I do not care about the money. I care about the players. They deserve an unparalleled experience and I intend to give it to them. This release will spark a Linux gaming revolution and will provide a dynamic shift in the developer space that is desperately needed to save everyone from the nightmare that is Windows 8.
Audience member: What if there isn’t a revolution?
Newell: There will be. There has to be. If I didn’t have faith that Linux would take off as a gaming platform, I would not be up here. In fact, we had to restart development when I made the decision to move to Linux. Half-Life 3 for Windows would be finished right now if I did not make that choice.
Audience member: What about iOS?
Newell: Exclusive means exclusive.
Audience member: So, how about a release date?
Newell: Don’t push it.

Thats a radical move, lets see if that gonna work.
The fuck?
That can’t be true.
AHA, I got it! In Half-Life 2: Episode 3 there is a 2 and a 3. 2+3=5 | The fifth elemental is Boron. And since we’re in 2012 we’ll pick isotope number 12, that isotope has a half-life of 20.20ms. Ms can also be interpreted as million seconds. 12.000.000 seconds is approximately 3333.3 hours. Therefore Half-Life 3 will release 13:20 O’clock on March 26th, 2013
wut? where you get that!
He was joking. :hmph:
Yeah… Joking, because I can assure you that I’m not a HL3-dev that is secretly spying on the community and constantly leaving clues on the secret ARG. I assure you…
