Well, best get VirtualBox on my desktop, just in case.
there is no chance that Valve makes it linux-exclusive, no matter how much they wish they could
stop worrying
maybe after valve release HL3 will later on make versions to other platforms, like with the Orange Box.
The Orange Box was a compilation, not a port.
I MEAN HALF-LIFE 2 WAS INIATIALY MADE FOR PC THEN WAS PORTED TO OTHERS PLATFORMS ( XBOX 360 - PS3 ), SO THAT COULD HAPPEN WITH HL3, FIRST LINUX THEN IN SOME TIME WINDOWS AND CONSOLES.
no need to scream, lol
It was both. A compilation of ports on the platforms it was ported to :V
Is that what you actually believe, or is it what you HAVE to belive, due to your desperation for Half-Life 3. For me, it’s definitely the latter
No game company is that stupid.
Valve has always aimed for the most efficient and comfortable way of supporting their games. And while it would never come to most companies minds due to financial repercussions, Valve has stable funding, hell they have a billionaire as their sole owner. Valve can take chances and risks that most companies can’t.
Oh there is still a chance that it won’t be HL3 and they will conclude the arc with just episode 3, but there is no chance whatsoever, that it will be a linux exclusive, whatever it is, even though Windows 8 is worse than Vista and Millenium combined with Microsoft Bob.
I don’t like how you have to say “Windows” with the last two releases, because they don’t have a proper name.
But yeah, this sounds extremely unlikely. There just aren’t any good reasons to do it. If they want to bring Linux into the equation and want more freedom and choice in gaming platforms, they’d just include Linux as a platform, not make it exclusive.
Lol I just did a Google search moments ago to see if there’d be any new BS rumours out and came across this one. At the top of the page it clearly said “hoax”. Different link to the one you provided (https://www.muktware.com/4760/half-life-3-linux-exclusive#.UJyKHobG8Zo) but the same story.
How could this possibly be an ARG? There are no leads. At all.
AHA, you’re wrong! Valve held their press conference on the 29th of October. October is the 10th month and the 29th of October was a monday, which is the first (1) day of the week… See the pattern, no? Well bear with me then. (29+1)/10=3. See, that’s a sign! So what do we get out of this you might wonder, well. 29-10-1=20 and 10+(30/10)=13. if you add 20 and 13 together, you get 2013.
Just as my last prediction, Half-Life 2 Episode 3 will release in 2013
You’ve gotta be kidding me
Vortessence will show us when the time comes…
By the way, 29-10-1=18
this year havent been so big for valve in videogames but they have something to show on VGA 2012, i just hope is HL3 related.
So I’m not sure how true it is but I don’t see how it’s possible they were lying. Apparently /v/ from 4chan went to Valve and were talking with Gabe, asking him questions, and he confirmed they are working on a new engine and that their next game will showcase it. There were two videos but they were 20 minutes long each and taken with a cell phone so I didn’t personally watch the videos but people were talking about it.
