Actually, the introduction of the Flood was quite a twist, as was Halo’s original purpose. But I do agree The Library was the worst level I ever played in a game.
Oh, undeniably.
But, as said previously, Halo: ODST has no flood, so maybe we’ll have a Halo game where EVERY level is good for once.
Yeah, I played Halo 2 before Halo 1, so it kind of ruined the surprise. Awesome multiplayer though.
I wish Halo 1 on the XBox had online multiplayer.
I liked Halo: CE. It was the one I can truly admit to liking, it was pretty fun. I’ll agree that The Library sucked rhinocerous cock, too.
It does. You can buy Halo 1 on Xbox live for 1200 microsoft points. You just download it. Instant Halo 1 fun.
But it doesn’t have online multiplayer.

Doesn’t it? Huh, You’d think that if they would add online multiplayer to the origanal Perfect Dark then they would add it to Halo…
That’s what Halo 1 on the PC has: online multiplayer. That’s the only reason to get it on the computer if you have an Xbox. I liked Halo 1 for the Xbox but it sucked that it did not have online multiplayer. Then I decided to get Halo 1 for the computer and now I can enjoy online multiplayer. There’s usually enough people to fight online anytime I join and the PC version of Halo is quite decent seeing that Gearbox Software ported it to the PC under Bungie and Microsoft Game Studio’s supervision.
I played Halo 2 at a family reunion. It was pretty fun, but (because I dislike reading the control guides and such) I managed to stick myself while trying to melee someone (pass the controller, pass the layout I guess)
I never played the campaign, but I enjoyed my time playing with my nerd[/SIZE] family, so as long as I can have some fun with a game, I keep tabs on it. I dunno, maybe I’ll buy the first or spend a little and get a 360 for Reach and ODST.
It may have been a good idea to have them supervise it, but it was still horribly optimized.
I <3 the video on the OP.
Does anyone know where I can get that particular version of the song used in that trailer? I know it’s called Lament, but I don’t know who sings it.
Light of Aidan - Lament?
Wrong artist. The closest instrumental I could find was Yuval Ron (Not sure about the Ron part) but either there is no singing or the singing isn’t correct.
A review will be up tomorrow. Unfortunately, it’s IGN’s review, so expect alot of gushing and a score that is slightly higher than what it should be, possibly due to the insane amount of hype (see: GTA4’s perfect 10.)

And boy are those ads annoying as fuck.
Oh, and here’s some more gameplay footage:

Notice how the player uses the pistol 95% of the time.
I have my baby back!
I sometimes play Halo 1 every now and then, just to use the amazing pistol. What makes it so awesome is that it’s power catches you off guard: You first pick it up and think “well, okay, it’s a pistol, so it must be the weakest gun in the game”, then you fire your first scoped headshot, and you never press Y again. The sound effect, the power, and the badass reloading animation. It’s perfect.
I agree. I always thought that the original Halo pistol was fucking awesome.
Oh! And the pistol whip! I looooove the pistol whip!
Did that guy actually make a strenuous vocalization when he tossed his grenades? Fucking sick. Poppin’ people’s balls out again with the glock is gonna be awesome.
