New Halo ODST trailer

Here’s IGN’s so far not completely bullshit review of Halo: ODST.
But, since I don’t trust IGN, I looked to see if G4 had a review, and they did:
https://g4tv.com/games/xbox-360/61907/halo-3-odst/review/
Basically, both reviews give the game a “Hell yeah, this game kicks ass!”

The only real problem I have with the game is the lack of matchmaking for Firefight. But hopefully this game will replace Gears of War 2 as my friend’s most played survival mode game.

Also, there’s no ODST specific multiplayer, but one of the best things about Halo 3 is that you can mess with the gamemode options and make maps, so someone (like me) could potentially make Custom Game modes based around ODST’s gameplay style.

Tuesday is going to be awesome!

Bump

I knew they’d find a way to make multiplayer work out.

sixty bucks, though? what the fuck?

An 8 hour campaign, co-op, Firefight, EVERY Halo 3 map ever, and the Halo: Reach beta. Sounds like $60 to me.

Most people already had the DLC.

I’m just saying 60 bucks is still borderline expensive.

Games are overpriced in general, especially console games, so that price is fairly standard.

Yeah, I am kind of pissed that I spent $30 for all of the map packs, only to have to pay for all of them again just to get three new maps. But the little voice inside me that says “this is a rip-off” is overshadowed by the much louder voice that screams “THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!”
The new campaign and Firefight mode (and the Reach beta) alone makes this game worth $60, in my opinion.

You can buy drugs cheaper than video games.

Video games last longer.

Well, video games are legal.

Anyway, right now I’m fucking psyched! I’ve been holding in my excitement for a year now (I’m using the Yahtzee method of waiting for games), and when I do so much as touch the box, I will jump with giddy excitement! I’ll be smiling the whole damn ride home! God knows how big the grin on my face will be when I play it!
Halo was the game that got me playing games. Had I not played Halo, I wouldn’t have played Duke Nukem 3D, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Metal Gear Solid, Gears of War, and worst of all, I wouldn’t have played Half-Life 2. Basically, this (https://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/5/55/HaloMyFirstFPS.jpg) is actually pretty accurate.
So, yeah, long live Halo! Microsoft can milk it all they want, so long as the milk still taste good I’ll drink it.

So… no one has any clue where to get that song?

Sorry.
Anyway, HOLY SHIT TODAY’S THE DAY!!!

I’ll be getting it shortly…

Shame it isn’t on the PC

That’s what Drill seargants do.

I’m actually happy about the maps. THis means I can finally free up some hard drive space. The DLC maps are built into the ODST disc 2. I don’t need the DLC maps on my HDD anymore. That and the fact that I won’t have to wit for the “saveg game files” to load anymore wheneve I want to play it.

Also:

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

I got it!
So far, it’s great! I haven’t played Firefight yet, but I have gotten past the first flashback, and I’m loving it!
The new maps are great too! Now I only have two more achievements in Halo 3! And just three more Vidmaster Challenges until i can haz r3c0nz1!!!11!!!
Thank you Bungie for proving every Halo hater wrong once again!

That’s a vast improvement of the crap soundtrack from the previous 2 games.

I should have it by Thursday if amazon hustles.

Lolcrap? I can understand Halo 3 being crap, but 2? Sure, it had breaking Bullshit, and Incuntbus, but the original stuff was pretty good.

Have you watched a Halo cutscene?

FUUUUUU

DPost

I’m sick of this super floaty jump 6 feet in the air shit in Halo, though. It made sense with master chief, being a super soldier and all, but these are normal guys. Come on.
