Oh, I see. Yeah, that and the fact that people are rating down the game because of Battlelog. TBH, I don’t find Battlelog that painful, and it certainly doesn’t make the in-game experience any worse.
I don’t see the point people buy games for fun
Battlelog sucks because the game shuts down when one player in a co-op game leaves, then you get to spend 5 minutes restarting the game and finding another player, if it finds anybody at all, and doesn’t get stuck at the loading screen. And then there’s the random glitches where the game flashes in RGB colors and just shuts down, or where characters disappear.
[COLOR=‘Black’]In the last single player mission, the last enemy as well as my ally both vanished, so i had to wrestle with an invisible guy who just shot another invisible guy.
Apparently BF3 sucks, so MW3s got a good chance as long as IT doesn’t suck.
I don’t mind the idea of battlelog, but they could have done it with an in-game web browser, so we wouldn’t need to exit and restart the game every time we switched servers or found a new coop partner.
That is my biggest problem with BF3. I want to just run the game and not have to exit it just to do something that we used to be able to do without exiting.
BF3 may not be that bad… but I COULDNT TELL YOU because Origin software is a piece of garbage. It effed all of my browsers and I cant even play the game… I’m out of 60 bucks while all the console weasels get off to a game that was originally designed for PC… I dont mean to get off topic but this is BS… Punish the consumer and kill the PC gamer. Welcome to the damn future…
In all fairness, I seriously doubt the game was developed with PC in mind. It feels like everything about it was created or adjusted for console use, but then they tweaked the engine a bit to look ossumer on PC… But apart from that, it has a console feel written all over it.
According to an interview in Gameinformer they were really trying to make it a more PC-centric game, with more stuff for PCs like 64 player matches and stuff.
Really? So all the quick time events that don’t keep key binds in minds are just an unexpected glitch then? Or how about the game thinking that the keyboard is QWERTY, making me blow myself up in a co-op mission.
They’ve switch mid dev phase to console, that’s why we have shitty QTE everywhere.
…do you not use a QWERTY board?
Since when were QTE’s invented or are exclusive to console games?
Shenmue coined the phrase QTE, and it was a console game.
Though there were some games before it that used similar mechanics
(not saying they are console exclusive, but the first game to use QTEs in their modern incarnation was a console game)
Either way, QTEs need to GTFO from Battlefield.
Belgium is one of the few countries where AZERTY is the standard.
Huh, didn’t know that. Cool.
I don’t care where QTE came from console or PC they suck and no games should have them.
^QFT
Also, AZERTY and QWERTY and QWERTZ and whatever blow. I can’t wait until the day schools start requiring Dvorak.
(It’s coming.)
Agreed. RE4 turned me off from QTEs big time. Way too damn many of them, with randomly chosen buttons each time. I’d much rather watch a cutscene than have Krauser kill me 20 times before I got the button presses right.
(I don’t mind QTE style minigames as finishers for bosses or larger enemies as in God of War, however, as long as it’s a third person action game)
I’d call QTEs more of a current gen gimmick than they are a console thing.
Either way, they were fucking stupid. GOOD THING THEY AREN’T IN MULTIPLAYER.
GOOD THING NONE OF THIS BULLSHIT IS IN MULTIPLAYER GUYS.
BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WE BOUGHT THE GAME FOR RIGHT?
THAT’S WHAT WE FUCKING GOT THE BATTLEFIELD GAME FOR?
THE MULTIPLAYER?
YOU KNOW, THE PART THE FRANCHISE IS FAMOUS FOR?
THE FRANCHISE THAT DIDN’T EVEN HAVE CAMPAIGNS UNTIL A SHOUT’S DISTANCE AGO?
YEAH.
BECAUSE WE AREN’T FUCKING STUPID ARE WE?
WE DIDN’T BUY THIS EXPECTING A SPOTLESS UP-TO-STANDARD CAMPAIGN OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT RIGHT?
That’d be fucking ridiculous.
imo, the campaign was designed for consoles, the MP was designed for PCs.
Actually, not imo. The campaign was designed for console. The MP was for PC.
I’m curious since i haven’t played the campaign yet - what has more QTE’s, battlefield 3, or Duke Nukem Forever?
I like how when BF2 came out nobody downrated the game for lacking a campaign and only having bots, but now - when multiplayer is SUPPOSEDLY more important - it looses a whole point for it.
