Don’t forget New York!
I don’t get it, are these leaked shots of Models, textures, and some narrow views of a map supposed to excite anyone?
I can look up a really bad mod that one person made an amazing model for and say LOOK AT HOW AMAZING THAT LOOKS, THAT MEANS WE MUST GET THE MOD
There are 3 groups of bad people on earth for game developers : nazi germans, russians and arabs. From time to time you can add chinese and latinos but thats about all.
Maybe sometimes in MW66 or 87 you’ll take down an evil America or EU or Australia for a change
Damn, I knew I forgot THE most destroyed city in the history of cinema and video game. Shame on me.
This thread needs more complaints on gameplay, singleplayer and multiplayer.
Let’s hear it, y’all.
I feel Tokyo has been destroyed more times than New York. I don’t know why.
Eh, I could use some time sink game to keep me entertained while I wait for Black Mesa and Diablo 3.
Good thing though that this is the last Modern Warfare, because let’s face it, the only truly good Modern Warfare was the first and that’s it. MW2 was fun sure, if you turned your brain off for the miserable 6 - 7 hours worth of improbably frantic gameplay.
What makes me sad is that IW are actually good developers. But sadly, Infinity Ward had to rush MW2 into making, with its sub-par story and the failed attempts of shocking the player the way they did in CoD4.
This is hilarious in hindsight for me, since I thought the civilian shooting stuff would be part of some sort of climax of a long terrorist campaign, you know, to give a serious motivation of why the bad guy does what he does and at try to give a off a little grey and grey morality. But nope, just training course -> undercover -> shooty bang bang -> you’re dead. They don’t even hold it for more missions to even give the false impression that the mission is working (you know, a la USMC campaign in CoD4).
Meh, I’d be willing to bet that Crysis 2 is already superior in every gameplay aspect when compared to MW3.
TL;DR: MW2 neede moar ac130
I know, It’s just that he’s been known to say some pretty stupid shit sometimes.
Exactly.
Because if we used China as the game’s punching bag the game will be banned there. Hence the North Korean palette swaps.
Would be cool for one time to play as reds and take over the free world, see a different point of view than ours.
Something like playing Red Alert but in a FPS, I like the idea. Is never going to happen tho.
Because all our (American, European) enemies of the last 20 years, while tenacious, are pitiful under equipped excuses for war fighters that take hundreds of losses for every one of our casualties. It was scary and exciting in Somalia but that got old really fast. So, for fantasy war, we need an enemy that can really do something, not just be a far away boogie man.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen somalia in a game.
Nova logic’s delta force, and a few other ranger/delta games
CoD in Africa actually sounds kinda interesting. CoD’s constant setting changes does provide for a lot of cool scenes and scenery variety to make up for a lack of gameplay variety, but the choppy setting really hurts the whole experience. CoD could use a game with a normal coherent setting rather than mismatched constant over the top action.
I wonder if this’ll be the game that finally starts the decline, or if the old bean still has a few years left on the up slope? I’m guessing this will break every sales record (again) and the journalists will still suck the hair off its balls, even though it’s a rehash.
And yet, I really can’t even work up any fanboy rage against this…except to say that from the perspective of a gamer with no financial bias, the talent involved would be better spent doing something else.
I wonder what the COD fanboys would say if MW4 took place entirely in one place, instead of jumping around.
I wanna to see a game about the war in Malaysia or Russian attack Malaysia just for the lulz.
Or maybe making mod in L4D2 about Kuala Lumpur.
I want to see a game where Australia launches a world wide assault. Spreading freedom and love in its wake.
But mostly giant spiders.
