Surprisingly, it looks like more of the same.

Yay another game to ignore.
Everyone will say, that it’s shitty, and will ignore it, but the sells will reach over 10 million again.
It looks like it will be fun. I liked mw1 and mw2, despite their limitations
I lol’d.
If it’s MW2 with a few new things and fixed multiplayer, it might be worth buying.
I loved MW1. I thought it was an awesome and unique game. I loved World at War, more so than MW1. I liked Modern Warfare 2, but felt like I had played it before. I didn’t even bother with Black Ops, I got tired of seeing testosterone-filled-American-protagonist #1538 battling against world-threatening-person-and-or-organization #2852. I just want the CoD franchise to either go away or take a radically different direction for once.
The series went down hill after COD4 imo, particularly on PC. I won’t ever buy another COD on PC due to lack of any real dedicated server support and the games are never finished when they arrive. They are hardly any better on the console. They have truly abandoned supporting the PC community.
I don’t blame the devs for the lack of originality either, they are trying their best with the time they are given by the greedy bastards Activision. If Activision allowed a more reasonable timeline for development then maybe we wouldn’t see the same thing over and over. As is battlefield 3 will get my money over COD:MW3.
COD is going the way of guitar hero I think. It might take longer to die out but it will eventually if they don’t do something to rejuvenate it.
i think i’ll buy it… but they should weaken tube and G18… stun grenades should be removed and gas grenades should be added :>
Dude, MW1’s main protagonist was a member of the SAS. MW2 was an international task force called TF141, who also seemed to recruit British people.
Black Ops had American soldiers as the primary cast members, but the story was actually not half bad. Very much a psychological thriller thing.
Even so, Black Ops was rather average in the gameplay department. Point being: saying that the testosterone filled protagonist is always American is just flat-out wrong.
Sorry, I’ll shorten it to testosterone filled protagonist then. Point still stands.
Who developed it?
According to my facts (See: “sources”), [COLOR=‘Red’]Infinity Wards (the company who originally made the CoD games, CoD 1-3, MW 1, 2) leader got kicked by [COLOR=‘Red’]Activisions (the company that bought up Infinity ward) leader and since then a lot of people that previously worked for Infinity Ward quited and made the company [COLOR=‘Red’]Respawn.
Infinity Ward has since CoD 3 (I think) worked side by side with [COLOR=‘Red’]Treyarch (World in flames, Black ops) because they couldn’t make a game each year. Activisions director replaced Infinity Ward with the company [COLOR=‘Red’]Sledgehammer.

I haven’t played Black Ops, but I don’t really like it.
MW3 sounds better, though. Story wise, at least.
Dude, I did just try an application to Infinity Ward recently. They still EXIST, the recruiter just said to me there has been a lot of changing things around.
I’ll definitely buy it, looks good so far. I’ve liked most COD games WaW was one of my favorites but COD4 was great too.
Looks promising, ill try it out
Also, looking forward for the flame war on battlefield 3
Anything is better than blackops story wise.
Those ingame screenshots are from early alpha, game looks nothing like that now … and Black Ops singleplayer was really good, you have to try But multiplayer … ehm not bad nor great.
I liked Black Ops story
So… what exactly here looks promising? All I’ve seen is a remake of the old MW2 teaser with some featured tourist attracting countries and some shouting.
The way they call it “the best game of 2011”
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
