Lol. Riiiiiiiiiiiight.
That’s why the Tony Hawk franchise has been cut. It’s not bringing as much revenue in as it used to. My concern is that they’re going to do the same to the Call of Duty franchise. Burn everyone out by the time the next generation of consoles comes out.
I know people will flame me for this, but…
Cod 1 was fantastic
Cod 2 was even better
Cod 3 even though many hate it, I don’t see anything bad about it (actually i only like the main menu theme)
Cod 4 adds great new stuff to the series, attachments, killstreaks, class creation, you can name it
Cod 5 uses the same engine as 4, but the good old WW2 theme still prove to be interesting (seriously, I love WW2 more than present day modern warfare)
Cod 6 updates the cod 4 engine graphically (as I noticed), although it feels the same as cod 4, the new storyline and features proved to be interesting
Cod 7 was rather boring as a cold war game, there’s nothing pretty awesome about it (I hate how they heavily fictionalized a “historical game” carelessly)
I’m still a fan of BF, waiting for bf3 and mw3
I still stand by my belief that the only substantial change the series has gone through was shooting Russians instead of Germans.
Attachments and classes are all well and good, but they don’t change the gameplay that drastically. Certainly not enough to make up for the staleness.
Agree with what you said.
Now CoD mistakes:
CoD4: Boom,Boom,Boom … you will die faster than you spawn due to killstreaks every 5 seconds.
Hacks,Hacks,Hacks … sure there will be at least one player with ab or wh while you play.
CoD5: Dont played MP but SP was great ^^ So I dont know the issues.
CoD6: Same as CoD4
CoD7: Same as CoD4
See ? Worse thing about CoD now is not game itself but killstreaks and hackers.
Really … while I played, airstrike killed me only to spawn and again be killed with second wave and after that again killed with third wave of airstrike.
After that someone with wallhack will kill you throught whole map etc.
They have to FIX THIS!
you get to shoot Arabs too.
I’m going to add a notation to those comments. Activision/Infinity Ward/Treyarch stopped putting numerical progression in the series at Modern Warfare. They became irrelevant, and Infinity wanted to separate the Modern Warfare franchise from the main Call of Duty line of titles.
Point being; World at War is not COD5 and Modern Warfare 2 is not COD6. Another point; Activision will most likely commission a legitimate COD5 at some time in the future. It’s why we don’t/shouldn’t call Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, GTA IV.
Especially considering that it’s actually the fifth GTA game, it’d be silly to call it GTA IV.
All I can reply with is… Looks at location. <.<
All I can reply is… Looks at avatar. <.<
I really don’t run into many hackers, now back when MW2 was first released yeah, that was buggy as hell and all sorts of crazy shit happened but recently I haven’t noticed much at all if any.
The only thing I really hate about the CoD franchise is in MP, when a player is doing really well, they get all these bullshit bonuses and perks to help them do even better. If someone just got 5 kills in a row, they don’t need a damn airstrike. Hell, why would an airstrike even be available if all those people are fighting in such close quarters? Danger close, much?
That’s quite true. We can’t forget about GTA: London.
FUCK you activision. This is the shit icing on the shit cake. Did they learn nothing last time? Why’d they even make a pc version??
Because chumps will buy it.
Honestly I thought they had a good compromise going with the whole you have to rent from game servers deal.
Gamers get dedi servers and they get that “consistency” or whatever the hell reason they give for not wanted mods and dedicated servers.
What’s to learn? MW2 sold better than BlOps last time I checked.
It would have made even more money if they had simply added Dedi servers. And even more money after that if it had had modelling tools.
Wouldn’t that promote hacking/moding
Well, they’ve handed over the “hardcore” gamers to DICE now.
Actually to the contrary. Dedi servers can have mods, so hackers can be perm banned. In mW2, with it’s shitty never updated anti cheat, hackers roam free. And modded servers are still around, just much less legitimate and impossible to avoid joining if you don’t like them. As for modding, who says that’s a bad thing? It can be run like in Black Ops where modded servers are segregated from regular servers.
Like they hadn’t already? CoD is to gamers like Wii, or worse yet, Kinect, is to consoles.
