I lol’d at that ninja so hard.
And I agree.

world at war was actually good, but i hated MW1 and 2, as well as black ops. it was just more and more of the same recycled garbage. it’s like going to disneyland, but you’ve been on all the rides fifty times. all you can do is look at them and say “wow, that looks like it could have been fun a few dozen rides ago”.
That’d be nice, but then that would make it a Battlefield rip off. Do we really need another Battlefield rip off, let alone, another Call of Duty?
tbh, I’ve only ever played through Finest Hour on the GCN, and it was serviceable to say the least.
Too bad … confirmed that no destruction in-engine only scripted sequences … but maybe its good … who wants another Battlefield clone ?D:
Who wants another CoD clone?
It only continuing the story of MW2, which in my opinion, didn’t need to be continued. And I do like the first and second CoD games the best. Cod4 was great, since it introduced a load of new features to the series, then, after that, they just copied and pasted and threw a glossy new cover on the disc and called it the next game. 4 fucking times.
4 fucking times ? what you talking about ?
CoD5:WaW was good,CoD6:MW2 was again something new.
Black Ops was fail a bit but still it introduced character customization and stuff never seen before.
And we dont know MW3 if it will be good or not.
So Treyarch recycled CoD4 engine for CoD5
MW1 engine for Black Ops
Infinity Ward updated their engine for MW2 and once again for MW3 so they are not recycling anything.
They’re saying the gameplay has had literally 0 changes in the past 4 years. Not a single god damn thing has changed. In 4 years. If nothing changes over 4 games (and it’s again ridiculous that a series has to have a new game released every year, which makes it clear that the CoD franchise is nothing but a cash cow), then the series needs to die out. Innovation is the only reason gaming is around, if every game were the same then no one would buy games anymore. And Call of Duty has become the one game that every other game is trying to mimic, which is destroying the gaming market.
…
A new AAA game every year doesn’t mean cash cow. It means that they had to start working on the next game before the current one was even released, and that it’s a cash cow.
Idea for IW, Activision: take 2.5 years, make one good CoD game with an actual COMPLETE, PLAUSIBLE storyline, sell it, and be the envy of the gaming industry again.
In other words, be like Battlefield. It would make us love you again.
Except for the part where Activision has nothing to do with the actual development of the Call of Duty games. Except when they fire off the leads of Infinity Ward after the development of MW2 was completed.
They’re responsible for enacting the crippling deadlines that help keep CoD from ever innovating.
I doubt it. I think the fact that they know that they’ll continue to make money from the retards who keep buying the games without any extra work is what’s responsible for that.
I’m sure the actual developers would like to make better games. That’s why half of IW got fired; they wanted to make a better game. Activision knows that dumbasses will buy the game no matter what so they impose ultra short deadlines so they can have quantity over quality.
You seem to have 0 idea of how video game publishing generally works.
The Publishers definitely have input on the game, sure. But the brunt of the game is decided by the developers. I’m sure when Infinty Ward was pretty much forced to make MW2, they still could have changed up the gameplay a bit, but they didn’t. That was their choice.
They’re given time constraints and told not to do anything new. Doing something new gets them fired. The same thing sells, doing something new is risky so activision doesn’t want them doing anything as scary as innovating. A lot of blame should fall on the devs, but perhaps an equal or even larger amount should fall on activision.
Agreed, but the point I was getting across is that a lot of people are skimping over the fact that it’s also the developers’ fault, not just Activision’s, and this is coming from someone who despises Activision.
Both of them are to blame, but mostly the people (or in this case, man) who make the decisions at the publishing company. As long as Bobby Kotick is in charge, Activision will only publish and commission games that
So yeah, basically shovel crap into gamer’s mouths.
