Modern Warfare 2: Leaked Massacre Footage [SPOILER WARNING]

Hey guys, I got it from EB at midnight launch (I worked there that night -_-) and you’ve got the wrong idea of that level.

SPOILER

[COLOR=‘Black’]You’re not a terrorist killing random civilians, you’re a USA marine undercover trying to stop one of the biggest terrorists at the time by becoming his friend, they expain in the mission what you’re about to do isn’t going to be right but the success will be worth more than you have to kill, and SWAT teams arrive and you do get a shit load of hard combat, with a pretty sweet twist at the end of just that level

And yes, you can shoot civilians (well in the australian version I could)

No, in Bioshock you press H and your screen is view is obscurred by green stuff and the girl just vanishes. It’s completely implied violence.

It makes me wonder if you even played it or if you’re just embellishing to try and make a point.

In mario you crushed turtles underneath your fatass foot causing their bodies to fly from the shell and then you could slay them with their own shell for nothing but pleasure and points!

Where’d you pick it up? And for how much? I’m trying to avoid EB’s blatant price gouging.

I picked it up from EB as I work at EB, price match it to $79 K-mart.

Quick Question: do you get a discount on games working there?
[Moderators, please don’t ban my stupid self for this off-topic chatter]
I know My employee discount at my store only extends to store-brand items.

Yeah, 15% off anything but consoles. But you can’t price match then discount, it’s one or the other, usually the match is lower.

Well, the airport level was a bit creepy to play, I didn’t shoot too many people.
.

Just go avoid getting scalped on my last comment about EB; every game store in Australia is pretty exorbitant.

And I’ll probably go and try to pick me up a cheap copy after my exams finish. Either that or Dragon Age: Origins. Too much awesome got released too quickly.

Nah, I don’t defend EB’s prices but that’s why they price match so, it’s fair enough

Urgh, I got completely mis-understood in this whole thread, I meant to say that the sick idiots who would take pleasure from that level in the game are the ones who cross the line, not the level itself. hurrr

I love how the User score on Metascore is a 1.5. Also, why are reviewers praising replayability when they at most have been playing online for half a day.

Damnit still not enough seeders!

They felt like killing some russians.

Happens to everyone.

Well, I got done with the level.

It was… disturbing. We casually walked out of the elevator, no one noticed, then… well.

This is not GTA. Killing innocent civilians was not fun for me this time. The music was calm, but fierce. The gunmen (myself included) walked as if this was nothing. I saw civilians try to crawl away, dripping with blood. It was awful.

The fact that it was an undercover US Marine made it even more disturbing. I can only imagine what was going on in his head. Did he feel any hesitation? Did he feel like he could never go back to a normal life? Did he feel dead inside? And, most of all, what did he think at the end, before that thing happened to him, where all those lives he ended was for nothing.

Fuck it, this is one of the most disturbing and heart pounding video game experiences ever. This is the new Nuke. No, this is more than the nuke. Congrats to Infinity Ward for making such a… well, I wouldn’t use the words “great moment”, but…

To everyone that thinks this is going too far and shouldn’t be in the game: fuck off.

From your description, I’d say that it is more than the nuke. You never really saw the human cost of the nuke, but here there is nothing but the human cost, it seems.

You can skip it anyway, it’s an optional part of the game and IMO those people that think it shouldn’t be in the game should just skip it rather than whining about it.
If it was in a film it wouldn’t be such a big deal for some reason…

Which EB?

Because some stupid group of parents think that it is video-games that make their kids act out instead of the parents themselves, because they don’t understand how to be responsible parents instead of fucking morons.

Fixed.
Also, I’m disturbed that a 2-year old (in CANADA, no less!) watched happy tree friends. I saw a guy in my school watch it once, it was fucking disgusting, and he was laughing like a dolt. I’m suprised the librarian didn’t notice, she even watched him watch it before the violent part started.
