Mafia II

Yeah like, the same happened in GTA: SA when an old lady slightly touched a police car in her 4-seater. Cops just got out, threw the old lady out of the car, discharged a few clips into her and drove away from the crime scene.

Just tried it. The game’s pretty awesome. The police is violent as hell, I hit a random guy on the street and they started shooting at me. They are very bad at car chasing though.

All in all it sucks because it runs at 20fps average. It may be optimised, but not for single-fucking-core CPUs. :stuck_out_tongue:

A bit late but,

Thats the idea.

Haha I think the cops in Mafia2 were a bit fairer than those ones sound.

Also, never ever ever shoot someone in the factory town ghetto type place with the dirt roads. EVERY BLACK GUY HAS A GUN.

No surprise there.

~18 hours…

How do you preload a game? I remember there was a technique where you could do so with a link to the Steam store page.

afaik you can only do it with certain games

Eh. I’m still up. Downloading this in 9 minutes.

I made GTA4 EFLC work on a 3.0Ghz Overclocked to 3.2 Single Core Pentium 4 with a 512mb Radeon x1650 AGP and 2GB of DDR2.

Mafia II lags on my Core 2 Duo 8800GT 4GB machine when I put it on all max :frowning:

Fuckin PhysX, how does it work? Kinda like rainbows I guess.

PhysX isn’t worth it. The difference is negligible. I run it on medium.

Uhh, i have all of that 'cept I have a 128mb Radeon X1050… Can that work?

launching tee hee hee

So the reviews are in . . .

Yes this I know this isn’t the only review, but it sure is a joy to read.

That guys a joke. He was looking for a GTA or Postal type of experience. I don’t often get to say this about “professional” raters, but this game is obviously 2deep4him. He’s LITERALLY complaining that it has a story. He also said “it masks its awfulness so well.”

I honestly doubt he played the game fast the first chapter, plus, he’s referencing all these invisible bugs and problems with the game, and says stuff like cops reacting is bad, and that there’s too many fistfights, it goes on and on. He’s a dunce to put it bluntly.

EDIT: Came to my senses. It’s EUROGAMER, the imitation meat.

Hmmm…

so what do you guys think?

I really wanna know, I can’t play it till the 27th :rage:

What about Ezio Auditore?

:stuck_out_tongue:

[COLOR=‘Black’]Necropost ftw

Haha. That list is an eye opener. Sure goes to show Eurogamer (or at least one branch of Eurogamer,) is full of shit.

@NeonImpulse, Overall I’m impressed thus far. I’m at about 30% completion, and I can say that it’s worth buying and better than any GTA I’ve played.

Comparing it to unrelated games, it’s about a Minecraft or a Fallout 3 on my goodness rating.

No, even a radeon X1600 wouldn’t be playable because it’s twice slower than the x1650, the requirements need a X1900 and the x1650 is only slightly slower than the x1900.

Also, pentium 4 sucks for games.

Sure makes it look cooler, though. The explosions throw a lot more debris on with PhysX on.

I can only run it on medium on my i5-750, 8 GB RAM, and a 9800 GT that’s OC’d.
