Mafia II

Played the demo on steam this afternoon! I thought it was excellent, loved the fighting, the driving took some getting used to though! Hopefully it’ll come packed with a tip top story line!

What did you guys think of it? =]

I still haven’t played it, but from the Videos and reviews I’ve seen it looks really promising.

Downloading it now. I’m pretty excited about it.

Played it. Found it extremely meh.

Basically its GTA IV in the 1930s, i.e. minus the more fun weapons and interesting environment, and those got dull a while ago for me. Definitely going to skip on this one.

Except it’s in the 1950s.

As quoted in the other thread

May be because of the stiff controls of the Ps3, but I might pass on it as well. Unless a friend buys it so I can lend it. ;D

Rofl. Time period fail.
I played the demo. Completely awesome. Can’t wait for release. The original on PC is one of my all time favorites, and with the same devs and writer behind it I doubt it will disappoint.

Technically starts in the 1940s. In any case, it doesn’t actually matter, it remains meh.

Just played it. The driving feels pretty sluggish, however the combat feels pretty awesome.

too colorfull, too simplified and easy (thanks consoles), but still pretty fun.

You can upgrade your cars with better handling etc.

Thought the demo was great, I didn’t like for the big ugly crosshair though. Crosshairs should be as small as possible imo.

As opposed to a brown bloomy mess?

i prefer less saturated Mafia 1

Saturated =/= colorful

This game will be awsome…
Just one thing really gets on my nerves… colours…
I just think 2K shloud abandon the console versions and
remake the PC one…
Im gonna try as hard as i can to get it in anyway…
Played the Demo… Awsome…:’(

my bad… i meant too saturated.

Why don’t you people just play GTA IV again?

Hahahaha. Ha… Nope.

Played it today, it looks like it’s gonna be awesome. Only thing is, getting hit by a car going at like 50 MPH makes you stumble backwards and lose about a tenth of your health. But oh well, the easier the better (within reason).

And I think the regenerating health was definitely a step in the right direction. No more getting stuck with 4 health while surrounded by 3 guys with tommy guns and a sniper. :awesome:

Honestly I think this game could have gone really good with a L4D style medkit healing.
