Could a developer answer me this. Is valve playing a part in the release of this mod in some form or other? I guess if they were you wouldn’t tell me.
No, they have their own projects to work on. Aren’t we supposed to be seeing an Episode 3 here soon?
Ok thanks.
Hello, I have heard about BM for a while now and I just decided to join the forums.
I almost forgot about checking this site for a year and I was afraid that I may have missed something, I am glad I didn’t.
Just stay clear of a couple of guys, namely Dias and George, and you’ll be fine.
I just joined here myself. But I’ve been interested in reading the forums.
And stay away from that asshole danielsangeo.
Don’t know you, but I’ve nothing against you, just that I think George is a hateful prick.
even better, dont visit this forum at all, ppl here arent normal O_o
Ain’t that the truth. I’m only slightly average.
And I’m also more trouble than usual here. Just a habit.

Why not keep a progress bar on the main site, everytime you hit another milestone you can add to the completion percentage.
You won’t need to give estimates on the release date or when you’ll hit the next milestone, so you can’t fail on the release date like you did with the 2009 date, but everybody would be able to see that there IS progress being made.
That would be infinitely better than ‘it’ll be done when it’s done, and we were very close to that in december 2009’.
I think “It’ll be done when it’s done” is sexy. The devs already talked about progress bars and stuff like that. It just would make them feel pressured to rush and give you a product that isn’t polished to be above and beyond the standards we are expecting. Having the “It’ll be done when it’s done” just means that they will be done when they believe that they have sufficiently done the best job that they can humanly do…plus a little more.
Progress bars have been suggested over about 7 times.
Dont know if they even use a Project Management tool like trac but if they would there should be possibility to say something about status…
Because it’s a genius thing to do.
well not with a proper project management tool…
They’re using an SVN Management system which is about as awesome as it gets.
actually, the mroe i thik about it the less fail proof thsi idea is ;f Wonder why they didnt use it, guesss toio late now anyway ;]
And you know this, why? Updating it will only take time away, if it’s not updated people will complain, if it goes backwards people will complain, if it’s at 99% people will, you know what, people will ALWAYS complain, lets just put it at that.
