Loss of Interest in BM?

as it is right now, the bitching is pretty easy to deal with. we (the old members) know exacty what they are going to say, and we have all answered the stupidity enough times that all the devs have to do anymore is just show up and lock. If the devs gave new reasons to bitch, we (the old members) would have to think up new ways to tell dumbasses off, which puts more stress on us and the dumbasses, and the devs who have to actually look through the threads to make sure we (the old members) don’t say something unfactual.

right now is the least stressful way and we are going to stick to a formula that works.

We are at least leaving this thread open for those that still find the need to comment on it.

well guize twiiters gotten a bit borin. ah well, at least i got the youtube to keep my entertains. oh wait.

WOOOOOOOOO NEW UPDATES!!!

Dammit release the mod before I lose my erection!!

Violently crams a jar of Viagra down Fnoigy’s throat
It will be done when it’s done!

Also, where?

did you press cancel?

I know this because this method has already been used by other developers, people already complain because there are no updates at all, “goes backwards”?? Lol that would be a big fail. If it’s at 99% people wil at least know it won’t take another 5 years to finish bms.

But let me make this clear: (maybe hard to believe) i’m not impatient. I really like the mod and i’m sure the dev team is working as hard as they can and bms will be great. The problem is not the long waiting, but “not knowing how long to wait”. It’s a bit anoying, and i understand the concept of not giving a release date because of too much pressure, so i don’t ask for a release date. But only some headsups on the mod’s current state.

But obviously i’m asking too much :expressionless:

WOW thanks for stating the obvious   That will keep me going for another 5 years…

Not really. Things can pop up that weren’t foreseen earlier, and so there would end up being more things to do than were anticipated, and thus the percentage completion would go down.

You’re a dirty, stinkin’ liar. 'Fess up!

yea lol XD
I didn’t even know they where still working on it :stuck_out_tongue: … (THAT’S A JOKE OK???)

It sounds to me they already have an internal progress bar, they already know the total number of milestones, milestones they’ve already reached and milestones they’ve yet to hit.
The only difference is they’ll be sharing it, and what’s wrong with sharing, even if it’s just to proof the mod is still being worked on.
It’s essentially thesame as ‘it’s done when it’s done’, but better.

They have deadlines. Trying to calculate some sort of percentage takes time away from actual development. Stop being a douche.

I have interest, i just don’t have faith anymore.

If the devs can’t calculate a simple percentage out of a total number of milestones and milestones reached, then yes, we are going to be waiting a long time for them to complete a game.

I’d just like to know the real reason we’re not getting any info, the only reasonible explanation would be the devs really aren’t that far to completion than they would like us to believe.

The real reason for, as you say, we aren’t getting new info, it’s because of a simple thing:

They can choose between give information, or finish the mod. One thing at the time, we’ve got only 2 hands.

You seriously believe that?
If they would give some updates, ANY updates, that would delay the mod indefinitely?
It doesn’t need to be a new trailer every day, just a simple update the mod is still being worked on, maybe a few new (official) screenshots.
It’s been over 100 days since the last official update.

I want to believe they don’t have the time to give updates because they’re working so hard on the mod.
But if they really were working that hard on the mod, so hard that they can’t do a little update once every 100 days, then the mod would’ve been finished years ago. I simply don’t buy it.
