Is Dead space worth buying on PC i played some of it on the 360 at a friends house it was lots of fun but I’m wondering whether they made sure the controls crossed over well.

ok first off L4D is… probably pure 20 out of 10 ownage game play and fun on a computer i just dont see how you can play a shooter on a console, I NEED MY MOUSE, jsut get into it more… Dead space… all i can say is OMFGWTFMEGABBQHAX AWESOME seriously dead space is so much fun for a single player, also you all should think about getting bioshock if not already that game is almost as good as dead space and is just so damn fun and trust me right now!!! if you havent played bioshock when bioshock 2: sea of dreams comes out and you want to play it cause it looks cool… dont,… major spoilers if you havent played first… and maaaaaddd confustion… i had to play the first one twice to fully understand every thing and trust me, shooters… just so much better on computer, exspeccialy with a kick ass one^^, and the orange box on 360 probably is cool, but i cant see playing TF2 or HL2 on a console witout my face right in the screen and aiming with a mouse

i was talking about how if you played Re4 with a mouse and keyboard you had to aim with the directional keys which seriously messed up the game. But i looked it up some and yeah they didn’t do that. Hopefully if/when they port Re5 to computer they don’t do that again.

i got the demo of mirrors edge on xbox and it kinder reminds me of Trickstyle on the old dreamcast dont ask me why because the nothing alike. but i think its just the fun factor of it. but in portugal it costs €65 so i deffo wont be getting it. i had to skrimp n save to get gta iv which in my opinion is worth €60 sept for the fuking anoying shadows. the shadows warrent an xbox 360 health warning - that is if you die ( because you were distracted by the god awful disgusting shadows) then you are likely to throw you xbox out of the window.

Don’t buy the console version. It’s buggy and ugly as sin, but on the PC it’s fantastic.

If you are in the States it might be worth it to look up where the closest Half-Price Booksstore is. If your not familiar with it, its a store where they sell new and used books, movies(VHS and DVD’s), cd’s, records, and Games for up to Half off the cover price, lower if its used. There aren’t too many locations just yet. So you’ll be rather lucky if you are near one, but its a good place to look to find a book that is out of print for cheap.

I would like to know if it is worht it or my time to buy aAnalog Electronics synthesizer device? For example a Prophet 600 or something like that? Is it really that much more awesome than your average Digitally Modeled SynthesizeR??? OR if not, should I get a digital synth, but with an onboard Analog resonant filter?

I wouldn’t buy it. Borrowing it from someone else is probably the best way to go, because you may end up like me (I borrowed it and I immediately uninstalled after completion). It’s just not that fun.

Personally, FEAR is one of very few games I play online, the other 2 being TF2 and a little COD4.

Personally, I love it online because there’s a decent level of mayhem, and despite being horribly angular, the maps are pretty good. Recently I swiched to the free multiplayer segment, FEAR Combat, so if your not willing to pay, give that a go, it’s not cut down in any way.

I have an old electribe-A :smiley: The sound quality probably isn’t the greatest but it is certainly an entertaining piece of hardware, and I get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

edit: that’s hyperbole, actually. But it’s pretty damn good. Maybe best RPG ever.

Like Lamsey said, Mass Effect is one of the best RPGs ever and is certainly gonna last longer than Dead Space. But i loved Dead Space too. If you like Rpgs more, get Mass Effect and if you don’t wanna be able to sleep at night, get Dead Space. :stuck_out_tongue:

And if possible, get both.
