Despite whatever else I’d do, I’d obscurely post an initial download link in this thread. Probably PM an active, trusted member with the direct link and tell them to post it in here somehow in a way that no one would notice or, at the least, in a way that no one would believe. Then bricks would be shat.

Honestly if the choice was mine, I would release the game for the PC, Xbox 360, and the PS3. The PS3 just because the original Half-Life came out on the PS2.

The box the game would be in would be the original game box. Of course it would have Black Mesa on it instead of Half-Life and instead of the Half-Life symbol in the background it would have the Black Mesa symbol. Updated graphics on the box though so it looks like the HL2 Gordon Freeman on the cover. But the same orange color.

This has probably already been mentioned but I’ll do it anyway…

Once the mod is complete, I would release the soundtrack for download. Then, two weeks later, I’d release the mod for download from the Black Mesa website on places like RapidShare or similar, set up mirrors for downloading, and release torrents of the mod and request people seed it after they’re done downloading it.

That’s my plan.
