How would YOU release Black Mesa?

I would make a video media update, but instead of real sound from the game I would put what-looks-like-a-scrambled-sound to see how long will it take for people to decode it.

I would release it today. :stuck_out_tongue:

Unfinished?

Release it in Episodes
Chapter 1 = Episode 1
Chapter 2 = Episode 2
Etc. Etc.

^^^ That would be fuckin’ cruel!

I’d simply put an announcement on the front page.

man, that way Forget About Freeman would be a flippin’ epic atmospheric buildup with no continuance.

how about
map c0a0 - episode one
map c0a0a - episode two
map c0a0b…etc

SADIST!

And Black Mesa itself would be free but each new chapter would be 19,99 DLC.
Sadist would become sadistic capitalist.

ok i never should have posted this.
It would have been more funnier if cartman said it.

I’d release it by having a HUGE ASS party on TF2, HL2DM, or HLDMS, or even Gmod.
Invite all the staff members, maybe make a “history of black mesa” video, just as a way of saying: “It’s your problem now!”

well they better try to maximize ads and clicks, got to come out of this with at least a little $$$. they should be looking into product placement within the game as well, slap a brand on that wrench

I don’t see any merits for us there…

I would spam the homepage with thousands of random commercials, and then make one of them the download link.

Id hack the source code and leak it to the internetz, make a picture of kleiner being given a B.J with it , and get tracked down by the F.B.I.

I just felt a wave of Déjà vu for a sec there.

Include a 12 digit code in Half-Life 2:Episode 3, after you watch the credits, you go to https://www.blackmesasource.com, enter the code and download a 100 hour video of Gabe Newell going “Ah No, just me Gabe Newell”
If you watch the 100 hour video from start to finish you receive an unique web address to download Black mesa from.

OMG, it works! :awesome:

I would let users download it from a page found in an index of interlinked pages found on a larger network of pages which are only accessable from a computer… sadly, this technology is yet to be created. Oh well.

Ridiculous. That THAT would ever work! NO WAY I’d end up paying a monthly fee to have it in my home, either.

Put it on a disk and hide it somewhere within the folds of Gabe Newell’s fat.
Right alongside Ep 3 and the Pyro’s true identity.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
