How can Chell play a part in half life's story?

I think their names are griggs and sheckley, but okay then.

I would love to hear Adam Baldwin’s voice again in a Half-life co-op game actually.

1- The place was overgrown with vines from ONE potato plant. (definitely not some months)
2- I highly doubt that whatever-sort-of stasis Aperature was using could preserve someone for millions of years, plus Chell’s bed was still in bed-form (which probably would not be the case after, oh, about 10,000 years, due to decay)

Related question: HOW was there still goo in the 1960’s resevoirs when we saw leaks all over the place?

Well, One main thing is, where was the stasis machine that held Chell in anyways? I didn’t see one, and the place was so broken down I don’t think they could support one anyways. So this could be a whole G-man joke in the first place.

The entire room was one big stasis chamber. Subject goes into bed, room is flooded with gas, subject goes to sleep. Nothing to it, really. Sure it’s impractical, but it’s Aperture.

Y’know how G-man sent Gordan 20 years in the future? Maybe he can sent Chell 200 years in the past!

Backwards time travel gets messy.

Only if you’re too stupid to follow along.

Not what I meant. I’m talking about time paradoxes, Snake!

Indeed, forwards time travel is easy even irl

Skip to 21:25. Not much new information, but interesting.

There are theories that allow for paradox-free time travel.

The Paradox-free time travel from Futurama however, is bullshit. Paradox’s can also be made into interesting plot elements. Homestuck (the comic the puppet in my avatar is from) uses time travel, splintering timelines & paradoxes a lot, but is fairly easy to follow once you get deep enough into it.

Erik Wolpaw said in an interview that we don’t know how much time has passed since Chell went into stasis, actually. The potato growing all over the place is probably something to do with the fact that it’s a wierd sciency potato made by Chell. We also have no idea when portal 1 was set.
info is in last paragraph of interview

OMG MOSSMAN IS CAROLINE!
<.<
:retard:

What I think:

In all likelihood, Chell is the daughter of Alex Vance and Gordon Freeman. In Episode 3, The Combine, The G-Man and the Borealis will be destroyed, thus disabling any way to travel through time. In doing so, our 2 heroes will in all likelihood, die in one heroic way or another.

(Remember the world has been thrown into a new war with the Combine, we know that Alex fancies Gordan and in all likelihood, they fell in love and that gave birth to Chell. I am sure we will see something along these lines in Episode 3)

In order to protect Chell, she was sent off to the Aperture Science Lab which is miles underground, where she then will be looked after by the Caroline personality of GlaDos. Caroline is most likely a personality programmed into GlaDos by Gordon and Alex to oversee, teach and physically train Chell when she is released from stasis after X amount of years. This will ensure the earth will be inhabitable again without the combine taint. See the meaning of Caroline here.

Well, that is what I think anyhoo.

^ I don’t think you could be any more wrong if you tried.

That’s what I said all the time[COLOR=‘Red’]*!

[COLOR=‘Red’]*once

+1
If you played either of the Portal games, you would never come up with that theory.

I’m pretty sure he was being sarcastic with all those "alex"s and “chell is gordon’s daughter” stuff

We should stop giving morons the benefit of the doubt.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
