that’s actually how i got into the series. 
Easy. Just play any other Halo game.
I haven’t actually played much of Halo recently, But ODST really brought me back for some reason.
So I’m eagerly looking forward to this.

Yeah, you’re right. I think Halo’s biggest weakness was storytelling, not gameplay mechanics, so let’s just say I’ll let someone else line up at 6am to get the game.
Is it strange that I hope this ISN’T like ODST?
I suppose I just felt that ODST wasn’t what it was supposed to be. I’ve heard so many people say that “you’re not the toughest guy anymore, you can’t take as many bullets, etc. etc.,” but I just never got that. I played through the whole thing on Heroic, and at some points I actually think this character was STRONGER than Master Chief (I recall throwing a grenade at my feet and not dying, which the Chief always seemed to do.)
The “stealthiness” touted so much before release…wasn’t, considering that you would fire a silenced pistol from the shadows and immediately every other enemy knows your exact location.
As far as story goes, ODST was all right in that regard, though I thought 2 and 3 both had fairly interesting stories as well.
I suppose my biggest hope for Reach is that the story will be a lot more encompassing - that it’ll span a multitude of characters instead of just one, which isn’t saying that the latter is necessarily bad. It’d just be an interesting change.

I am disappointed by this trailer.
Not only did the VGA’s keep on promising it during commercial breaks and then kept putting it off, but the content wasn’t that great. I’m pissed that you play as Spartans, as I was expecting a Battlefield-esque Marines vs. Elites system. And why the fuck are there helicopters? The only thing that I liked about that trailer was the promise of elites.

I think they should have stopped at Halo 2, the first two were great, but when I played the third one, I really didn’t like it. Didn’t even bother with Halo: Wars or ODST.
Uh, ok I’m thinking do not feed, but on the the other hand…
If you thought Halo 2 was great, you sir, are wrong. It was a terrible product and should have been subject to ValveTime. Huh, there’s a thought, what if Valve, had made Halo? O_o
Then it would have been much, much better.
