Halo 3 for the computer.

HEY WHO CARES! THEIR JUST GAMES! Jesus Christ people stop bitching about the slightest things in the past.

Any wuss can use a keyboard and mouse. They use it all the time to look up gay porn.
REAL gamers can master the controller. Even the fucked up N64 controller!

See what I did there?

People still play that?
Assuming you mean Metal Gear Online for the PS3, then kick ass! Can’t wait!

I hope Halo 3 does end up coming out on PC. The MP is so much fun, especially zombie and skull modes. I’ve had so many hours of split screen fun with the Halo games!

Whew you’re just trolling. I thought you were serious in your previous posts.

I prefer to call it “reverse sarcasm.”

As in, you always see PC gamers talking about how REAL gamers use Keyboard and mouses, but using the controller is more challenging and takes “skill” to master.
And thus, hardcore gamers should use gamepads because it’s (slightly) harder to use, as a way to show how “fucking awesome and not gay” they are.

It takes skill to master a mouse & keyboard, if not more than a controller. More button combos for example. aiming + jumping + crouching + moving (hell, even DPI switching mid-game) takes a while to master, and theres no way in hell you could do all that at once with a controller.

Topic: Halo 3 on pc would be awesome and it will probably happen. Maybe around the time Reach is released. But my guess will be that it stops at 3. not much need for microsoft to keep porting them.

If you jump, crouch, move and shoot all at once on a PC, I’m pretty sure you’re PC would beep at you for using too many keys at once. Or go to the Task Manager.

not if your using a Lycosa or other such high-end keyboard :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope that’s sarcasm, trying to play the game in the hardest way possible doesn’t make you hardcore. I think you are describing some kind of gamer who is needy for attention and wants to try to impress people by showing how awesome his gaming skills are.

In the end it’s not how good you are at the game (though I guess you need enough skill to be able to play it), but how much fun you have while playing it.

OT: Halo 3 on the PC would be pretty cool, not sure if it would be worth a buy unless they add something extra in besides the large cutting down of whiny 12 year olds in the playerbase.

I don’t remember hearing beeps :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s called turning off Sticky Keys.

Also, I love how people think I was trolling when I was posting completely valid arguements to their ‘zomg i love teh halo’ arguements.

Hmmm, a console vs. PC thread. These always are so productive. Also, Halo 3 for the PC will come out when someone makes an XBox 360 emulator, no sooner.

It’s not sticky keys, PCs just used to beep when too many keys were held down back in the day.

I’ve always had a great time with the Halo series. I don’t care if they weren’t revolutionary or didn’t add much to the genre. Not every game has to. There have been many games that I have loved that have added almost nothing to their respective genre, but have been incredibly fun. Serious Sam, UT3, the HL2 Episodes, Counter-Strike: Source, Halo 3 and NFS 1-5 to name just a few.

As long as I have fun, it’s all good. Games are a form of entertainment after all. The Halo games are incredibly fun for online MP, co-op, split screen and co-op. Even the SP is great, with some amazing set pieces and battles to take part in (Scarabs anyone?). Playing the Halo 3 campaign in co-op in a single marathon sitting was one of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had (thank you 3B ). Plus plasma grenades are amazing!

I’ve spent countless hours with mates trying all sorts of crazy shit, as well as enjoying all the different game modes available. Launching tanks at each other, playing Skull with energy swords or rocket launchers only, Infected with stealth. Plus, the player base isn’t that bad. I’ve found about the same amount of whiny kids in the Halo games as I have in CoD2, CoD4 and CSS especially.

Halo 3 may not have had the best SP campaign, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Halo and Halo 2 campaigns, and the Halo 3 ODST campaign was great, maybe even the best out of the lot so far (especially in co-op. Also Firefight is the bomb!). The story might not be the most original, but it’s quite complex and incredibly deep.

Teh Haloz:

P.S. And on the controller issue, once you get used to it it’s really not that hard to use. I was playing Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark years before Halo, so I’ve always found console FPS controls rather easy.

Using a controller isn’t an issue when everyone else has to use one to. (though you are able to use a keayboard and mouse for 360 though the mouse is incredeibly unresponsive. (or so I’ve heard) )

Controllers break too easily

i can’t say i’ve ever broken a controller

I have seen many many many controllers break from many different consoles.

what were you doing, banging them against your head?

all of my n64 controls have become completely flaccid with age
