And you started posting right there? Ever thought about reading before posting?
PC fanboys can get douchy at times but if you ever see arguments between true console fanboys, it will look like incomprehensible shit filled with illogical fallacies. The usual crime that most PC gamers are guilty for is taking their own opinions as fact, whereas (the epitome of) console fanboys can’t even come up with arguments besides calling each other fags. Though I can understand how retarded some people sound when they say “Game A and the whole series is shit” as fact.
Microsoft makes more money of off the console, they are greedy. Which platform do you think they will support more?
Well, it is!
I mean, really, you think Half-Life was revolutionary? Other than a few cool interactive scripted sequences, the story is just DOOM 1 on Earth but less demonic. And the gameplay is your average FPS but with a slower pace.
The truth hurts, doesn’t it?
But, somehow, the game was fucking awesome! Despite the gameplay being generic and the story not that special until Half-Life 2, which had actual characters!
So, don’t you think Half-Life is just a little[/SIZE] bit overrated?
But despite the game being slightly overrated, does that stop you from enjoying the game? No, not at all!
And Garth, brilliant troll bait. You win the internet my friend.
I like Halo and all it’s sequels…
hides
IMO they were decent, but like Coll said, they weren’t revolutionary in any way.
In Doom 1 you couldn’t look down, I had to say it.
In Quake you could, and Quake was released before Half-Life.
Not every awesome game needs to start a revolution to be awesome. It just needs to do a good job at making the same ol’ same ol’ fun.
See: Every 3D Zelda game since Ocarina of Time/Fallout 2/MW2/DOOM II/The Half-Life 2 Episodes.
But there’s no concrete end all-be all on what is considered “fun” and what isn’t. It depends on the person and his/her taste.
I think Halo is fun. You may not. I think Crysis is mediocre. You may get hard when you can run it on max settings. It’s an opinion. Get over it.
Thanks for more or less supporting me on this one John. And you’re right, I do make wonderful troll bait.:[
Anyway, if you are one of the people going on and on about how Halo 3 sucks, then STFU. That’s your opinion don’t try to force it on us like it’s fact. If you say IMO Halo 3 sucked, then I’m perfectly okay with that, but I’m not okay with OMFGlolhola123suxs (I’m exaggerating here to get my point across). Halo 3 is a very very popular game and is undeniably one of the most popular multiplayers in existence. It has nothing to do with doing something new, but perfecting multiplayer.
Halo 3 IMO has something about it’s balance and gameplay that makes it highly addicting, competitive and fun and I think it would be even more addicting competitive and fun if it were ported to pc.
IMO Halo 3 was decent. But as Coll said it wasn’t revolutionary at all.
Nope it does not, because it’s not the truth. Half-Life was revolutionary. For its story, its graphism and its scripted sequences.
Well, less the story and more the way it told the story.
It was revolutionary for it’s time, now all that stuff is higher qaulity in the shittiest possible modern game.
Yet it’s still fun. There’s just something about it that keeps you coming back. IMO the most important thing of a game is not the story or the characters or the graphics (though those are all important) or being revolutionary but gameplay. And gameplay is a little abstract, you can’t really describe what made Half-Life so spectacular, you jsut felt it as you played.
You know, even I knows that the word “was” means “in the past”.
That’s because it’s very well balanced. One of the most important thing to make sure of when you develop a game is not to make players feel frustrated. And Valve knows it. Have you ever felt frustrated because you didn’t know where to go, or because there was an extremely hard section? I guess not.
The fact that there’s multiplayer footage alone shows that this is fake. Add the fact that the odds of some 9 year old getting a leaked copy of an unannounced port of an existing game, and you have an epic fail.
Don’t trust YouTube with anything. Hell, don’t trust the entire damn internet. It’s a cesspool of lies. I mean, just look at how many people say Halo 3 sucks!
Okay, seeing some dumb NPCs bitching about their ties and who ate all the doughnuts is revolutionary?
Amazing how low standards were for games.
But again, Half-Life is still great. I first played it 10 fucking years after it was released and it was awesome. So I don’t give a fuck about whether or not it was revolutionary.
I somehow utterly fail to see what your point is.
XD
It’s called bumperjumper, man.
I know about bumper Jumper, but then you lose some other key functionality, the poinst is, no matter what you can’t press B A X or Y and use the right analog stick at the same time.
You said that every game now is better than Half-Life is you look at the story, graphism and scripting sequences. And I agree, but I said that Half-Life was revolutionary, not is revolutionary. So when it came out it made people shit bricks, but now it got nothing that can blow up people’s minds.
Because it is totally related to the story.
Than get faster thumbs?
It really doesn’t bother me at all. But I have really fast hands.
I never really cared for any of the Halo games. I’m constantly bombarded everywhere by “OMG Halo iz best FPS evar!!!” but don’t really get the hype. I prefer MGO :retard: .
