Half Life Movie

lol I’m willing to forgive him for that based on his performance in the CRASH TV Series, a performance which is pretty phenomenal for Breen. Breen isn’t the main villain, he’s the main villains’ pawn who is appointed to keep order and basically be a poster boy for the Combine.

Also an actor is only as good as their director, and the directors for the Mario Movie (there were 3) are all shit. Lol there’s a good actor in there somewhere, I can tell :stuck_out_tongue:

If there’s ever made a Half Life Movie. There’s 3 things I want from it.

ONE: It must be directed by Neill Blomkamp
TWO: Must have WETA for the special effects.
THREE: Must only have unknown actors.

@ 3, Why?

unknown actors can’t make stupid demands. Aside from G-Man (use what’s his name from lost) what known actor could currently fit a mold

Ozzy Osbourne?

“SHAROOOOOON!!! W-w-w–where’s m-my fucking crowbar?”

The guy from Lost is named Nestor Carbonell, and for now he’s a bit too young. However by the time an adaption of Half-Life is actually approved he’d be good lol

While we’re on the subject of a HL movie, I think it might be best done with only a few scenes involving Freeman. Here is the intro to my story WIP, Half-life: Guard duty, that uses Freeman to ease the reader (presumably familiar with the HL series, as I’m posting the chapters in full on a HL mapping forum) into the story.

8:47 AM
Black Mesa Research Facility
Black Mesa, New Mexico
(Tram line)

The young man on the tram glanced at his watch, a look of worry on his face. Late again. The Administrator would have his head if just one more experiment was delayed on his account. The tram, leaving the stop at the sector B coolant reserve launched into its automated welcome speech. Like anyone else was on the tram line this late.
“Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa transit system. This automated train is provided for the security and convenience of the Black Mesa research facility personnel…”
‘It’s gonna be a long day’ he thought.

This is only the first section of the first chapter, and after the resonance cascade, the focus shifts from partly Freeman and partly a security guard in a seperate section of the base to just the guard, using Freeman as just a timepiece.
The full story so far can be found here

I hate when movies get hyped up mainly because of what actors are in them.

Or in certain cases the director. cough James Cameron cough Avatar cough

That sounds… pretty bad. No offence - I encourage people to write - but what you’ve done there is to pretty much take exactly what happens in the game and just put an adverb in there every now and again. I like the additional journeys taking place, but its a straight to page adaptation of the game, and something like that just won’t work.

Yes, a straight to page adaptation wouldn’t work. Hence why I’m only using Freeman in a few “scenes”, just to help ease the reader into the universe. After the resonance cascade, you hear no more of him. Anything not including Freeman is a fully new part of the storyline.

Ah ok, so you’re not planning on reintroducing Freeman back into the story at any point? I’d say you’re on the right track in that case. Wouldn’t hurt to make your story a little more in-depth though, rather than just speech and the odd heavy-handed description. How old are you by the by?

I doubt I’ll use freeman again exept for people talking about him.
Also, to as how old I am, I’m a high-schooler. Anything more in-depth than that is classified. :stuck_out_tongue:

We don’t use the term “high school” in sweden, so, what ages are in there?

15-20 years of age.

k.

Actually it’s more like 14-18, but whatever.

Gordon Freeman can be played by the guy who plays doctor house. They are identical cal.

Because casting on the sole premise of “who looks the most like the guy” is a good stratagy…

Maybe make the movie as a Documentary? It would be boring as hell to some people but it could work. Right ?
