Half Life Movie

it would be interesting to see one from Aperture’s point of view

I thought the best way would be a tv series eg. one episode per chapter (first two are together) Also, maybe not live-action, but that animation/live action thing (I’ve forgotten the name)
But, as we’re basically saying, unless Valve creates a TV company and has COMPLETE control, it’s fucked.

THIS IDEA SUUUUUUUUCKS :3 !

Not interested in a Half-Life movie. The quality of games these day is practically like an interactive movie anyway. I’d prefer that they just kept making good games to tell their story. Oh, and maybe remake the original…oh wait somebody is already doing that :retard:

or half life the anime !

actually I’ve often thought about that, chances are though I’d fuck it up beyond compare.

There already was a half life movie called Uplink, but it wasn’t approved by Valve, was about five minutes, and sucked royally ( I dunno, but the fact that everyone was British cracked me up. Likely another reason it got poor reviews.) So you cant watch it :[

I have a feeling that this may have already been posted, but I don’t feel like checking.

Lulwut?.. Everyone was British in Shaun of the Dead, and it kicked ass. What’s wrong with british cast members?

I’m gonna go out on a leg here and guess that most American journalists, Marines, Scientists, and Assasins aren’t British/have a British accent.

Also, all the actors sucked. The dead guy couldn’t even pull off a convincing corpse.

No, and if you want a movie then fuck you!. I have watched basicly every video game movie thats came out and the only one that did it decently, was Hitman… but even then that was a huge fucking dissapointment.

They shat all over resident evil’s name and are digesting some more stuff to shit out on the name again next year i have heard. NOW, they are ruining another gaming franchise i love “prince of persia”. The film is coming out this year or next year and i can already tell its going to suck. I have no hope in any film based on a game now, and like the guy before said “Escape from city 17” was well made but i hated it, i didn’t even want to finish watching it.

SO NO HALF LIFE MOVIE!. Even if Valve was somehow directing it, it would suck.

Games should remain games.

You may not have noticed, but it’s a bit strange when everyone is english with english accents in a film based on a game set in america were everyone is american and has american accents.

i don’t think it’s based in america and everyone has american accent , the doctor with darker skin seems mexican ,but at that time… , the base is in mexico , there should be some spanish thrown there

It’s definitely in the United States. New Mexico iirc, can’t find a screen cap where it’s explaining all that during the tram ride in the opening.

Youtube pulled through, you can see within the first ten seconds.

Although Mexicans are the majority population in the country

usa don’t deserve so much awesomeness :frowning:

ur rite, it shud b in Mexco an thar shud b mexcans wit sombreros trying tu kill u

You’re right. Why should a film made based on an American game made by an American company largely staffed by Americans, about American characters working in an American research centre be based in the US?

With American spelling.

I’d lose all faith in Valve if they allowed their awesome franchise to be brought down by shitty japanese animation and one bald white man doing all of the voices.

I hope you were just making a bad joke. That’s not even fucking funny.

Calm down man, it’s a hypothesis. Don’t get your ovaries in a twist.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
