I just wanted to bring up the fact that Half-Life was intended to be released for the Dreamcast from Sega. I did manage to get my hands on the “beta” version, don’t ask how :meh:, but it turns out the game was finished in every way! They scrapped it a few weeks from release and it not only includes Half-Life, but the HD pack and Blue Shift as well. There is a small problem with saving because the save file sizes differ depending on the level, and can be ridiculessly large. Anyway I just wanted to say that anyone who happens to own a Dreamcast, small chance, can pm me for a link to, erm “accuire” an iso.

Or you could play HL with a CUSTOM HD PACK USING HIGH QUALITY MODELS MAKE BY FANS, WITH THE Mp5 AND THE GLOCK IN IT!!!
AND DECOMPILE THE NPC MODELS/USE SOURCE FILES FOR THEM, PUT THE NEW WEAPONS IN, AND USE THAT!!!
AS LONG AS YOU DON’T REDISTRUBITE THE MODELS WITHOUT THE AUTHOR’S PERMISSION!

HL2 on xbox: for a sad and bad experience
I had a Dreamcast and a psx(or 1 whatever its called) when I was little. But that’s when I knew nothing the Half Life Universe. All I played was Spyro, Oddworld, and Medievil. And now I wanna kill myself because I wan to play half life on my big comfy couch.:’(
It is sentences like this that make me feel old.
If I had a dreamcast I would probably be able to find it myself pretty fast.
I managed to find the HL2 beta plus fixed maps in about 20 minutes last time I tried.
i feel sorry for valve, how someone stole the beta right from there system, at the time there was a torrent going around the had the beta and i was one of the guilty people who downloaded it, it was pretty cool but i get really boring fast because its was extremly buggy and the models wernet rendered right and there were no mouth movements, the weapons sucked ass and the original maps were poorly thought up, but of cource it was awsome at the time because it was…well HALF-LIFE 2!!!
The hl2 beta was awesome though, I bet if it wasn’t leaked we would never have found out about Valve’s original plan for the game, which is superior to most games out there including HL2 retail. It’s downfall was only the script itself being way too awesome for FPS standards.
