Some messin’ around black mesa, few zombies to kill, 1 alyx to fuck and 1 dad to revive.
Oh and teh headshot for Gman for being 2 mysterious.
I dont like the idea of G-man being Gordon.
But i think they will be teleported to the combine world from the borialis and be trapped there and then have to find a way back to earth. They will sabotage some containment area for headcrabs that they used to shell places on earth with. It will cause the place being full of headcrabs and zombines. They find a citadel with a teleport and make the hole thing blow up after they teleport themsel to earth.
END
Hey, guys! I have an epic idea! Kill Alyx for no particular reason, have G-Man say “OMG LULZ OLOLOLOLOL IM GORDN FROHMN!!!11111111111111ONEONEONEONE”, have Gordon eat a banana stock on his new Grevitzy Riflzord pwn space cowbys witz space Über RIflzrdz UZIZ, then kill teh Cmbin baze oith teh 1337 ACME Überzord Cmbin PWNR gun, ten mak Gordn Frman say “Oll ur baze r belung 2 uz” And den GMAN (Gordon Frohman) cumz adn saz OMG PRPR 4 Unfurziiin cunzecuencezz!!!1111111111111111111111111ONEONEONE!!!
Like my little idea )
FUCK YOU
Idiot
I second that
Havent Valve sadi HL3 will be completely unconnected from the HL2 storyline?
To me that means that at the climax of Ep3 Gordon goes somewhere where only he and the HEV suit can go. Lets face it - there are a lot of places like that.
He achieves whatever his mission is at that point (turning something off, turning something on - its usually one of those).
Some “unforeseen consequence” happens. (explosion, implosion, wormhole etc)
Gordon, having saved the world, seems to have died (Alyx is very sad :’( )
But of course G-man intervenes and puts us back in stasis, until, like Sam Beckett, we are needed in some other time or place.
I think it would be cool if you were g-dogs son (gordon, not the offspring of gman and dog), then Barney (a highly ranked leader of earth) wants to invade the combine home planet to prevent any further attacks.
And G-dog or Alyx is on the planet.
(pretty shit idea, I know)
ALYX WILL NOT BE IN HL 3. PERIOD.
Perhaps
:FFFUUU:
Why am I an idiot, may I ask?
Helicopter ride to antartica - briefly sums up Episode Two’s ending. Advisor uses ‘alien wepon’ to bring down said helicopter. Mile-long trek, fighting Combine natch, towards Borealis. HOLY SHIT NEW ENEMY. HOLY SHIT NEW GUN FOR NEW ENEMY. Something to do with Black Mesa/Aperture Science rivalry. ZOMG BARNEY. Epic fight as Combine, Xen creatures and Gordon ‘Sociopath’ Freeman battle to save/destroy the Earth. G-Man turns out to be an avatar for some highly advanced race and explains away the entire plot of th Half-Life 2 games by saying: ‘lol matrix’.
I hope that’s it.
Everything except “lol matrix” was good in that post.
How about Alyx and Gordon running straight into a trap on the Borealis, all set up by the combine overminds who had intentionally placed this manipulated message where they would find it in Episode 1? Both of them are captured, not killed, because they are known as idolized leaders of the rebellion and would become martyrs replaced by zealots fighting for what they died for. Instead, Alyx and Gordon are to be made into combine soldiers themselves. Somehow (by intervention of G-Man or the Vorties) Gordon is displaced before he can be transformed, and ends up on the Borealis again, where the only weapon he finds is the portal gun. Using this gun to navigate the maze of science decks on the ship and evading or even trapping enemies with it, he finds a way to destroy the whole ship, before the combine can use it to create another portal. In the course of this action he manages to rescue Mossman, who has a second gravgun prototype with her. Mossman tells him that Alyx has been sent to some kind of underground laboratories formerly occupied by aperture science, where the combine are headed to regroup and aquire technology that helps them reestablish contact with their homeworld.
While the self destruction sequence is going on, the two scientists manage to get a portal projection unit working, sending Mossman somewhere near a helipad, while Gordon, due to interference between the portal projector technology and the portable portal gun, is miswarped into some kind of strange underground laboratories formerly occupied by aperture science.
Using gravgun and portalgun, he has to solve a whole shitload of crazy physical and portal-projecting puzzles (I love alliterations!) to finally reach the control center, which has not yet been taken by the combine, because a long dormant computer AI known as GLADOS has managed to survive through all these decades. It turns out the AI is corrupt and partially malfunctioning, as if major parts were destroyed in some recent incident. Gordon has to repair the AI, because the defense systems of the underground facility are the only help he has to stop the combine and free Alyx from their grasp - if it is not already too late.
Puzzles involving finding machine parts, hacking computers (like in Fallout 3), using Portals and the gravity gun lead to the repair of GLADOS, who at first pretends to help Gordon - which leads up to him being reunited with Alyx, who is in some kind of stasis storage container that Gordon is only able to lift by using the gravity gun. GLADOS, however, is not willing to let the “Test Subject” go and starts flooding the base with a deadyl neurotoxin again. Okay, no problem… Gordon just has to get out of there before the air is unbreathable. He has to carry Alyx along, puzzle his way out (again mainly by using the gravgun and portal device), evade or trick out the automatic defense system which is at the same time fighting not only him, but also combine forces who are invading the basis on full scale to stop the AI and regain control over it. Gordon shoots and warps and physic-puzzles his way out of this mess, always having to carry Alyx along until in some test chamber, he manages to revive her, using aperture science technology. As Alyx is only wearing very unprotective underwear (hell, yeah!) they have to find some more protective clothing for her. Fortunately, they find the remains of a bunch of aperture scientists who had been trying to get into protection suits. One of those suits is still functional, and the helmet of the other one is compatible with Gordon’s hazard suit. So Gordon finally got himself a helmet, buying a little time for the escape. Just when the two have encounteres a bunch of dead combine soldiers, pillaging them for weapons and having to evade the turrets that killed them off, the GLADOS announcement system announces, that due to unauthorized access to the mainframe section the station is going to be flooded with radioactive waste on all levels, due to a security protocoll installed to prevent that the whole project falls into the wrong hands. Alyx and Gordon, both wearing slightly different hazard suits now, have to get to the surface before the levels they are on will also be flooded.
So they shoot, climb, jump, puzzle, portal and run their way up to the surface, while the areas they are escaping are slowly running full of radioactive, green, glowing slime and the GLADOS - AI is continuously harrassing the “intruders” over intercom, making jokes about their efforts being futile. Out in the open, they encounter the remains of what was the previous body of GLADOS, and a dead woman in a jumpsuit nearby. They are found by Dr Mossman and a helicopter crew from the resistance, who had been managing to track the signature of the portable portal device and thus found out about Gordon’s current location. The whole bunch is transported back to the resistance Headquarters in the newly freed urban area of city 14, which is littered with crashed alien helicopters and busted striders, while resistance members in the streets are burning piles of combine corpses and gathering their equipment.
In the newly setup headquarters, they encounter Dr Kleiner and the whole bunch of survivors, along with Eli Vance, who has been ressurected by the Vortigaunts and is currently in bed, unconscious and recovering from his near death experience. Everybody is happy, and Alyx is about to reveal her true, deep feelings for Gordon, when suddenly, something completely unexpected fucks up reality and freezes the scenery - that’s when the G-man walks in like he owns the place and regretfully announces to have to interrupt this intimate moment for a little heart-to-heart with Freeman… :freeman:
i promised to never read books , so i won’t read the entire post , but it’s kind of 100% that you won’t have both the grav and the portal gun at the same time
So that’s what happened…
That explains a lot.
There is no point in trying to act all educated and good now, after you just completely wasted a post and our time earlier with the idiotic idea which can be found below:
…
Maybe I am wrong. Maybe your idea was good. But unfortunately, none of us were able to understand it due to the fact that YOU made it idiotic with all of you dreadful grammar, spelling and also, your incapability of making a sensible sentence.
And no. The quote above was not a sensible sentence for two reasons:
- It was completely obvious why you were being an idiot;
And
- It was a question.
But back on topic. I heard from somewhere that VALVe had actually already released HL3, in the form of EP1, EP2 and the soon to be released EP3. They said that due to the fact that it took almost 10 years to release HL2, they didn’t want to make the public wait another 20 for a better game that would take more time because, by then, everyone working at VALVe would be close to retirement. So they released it in three shorter episodes.
That’s what I found out anyway.
And I read all of DansonDelta40’s post . It’s a good idea, but how are VALVe going to sort out the carrying of Alyx?
it took them 10 years , out of 10 7 must’ve been on the engine remake IMO
God-damn forum crash. I really cannot be bothered re-creating, from memory, the lengthy post I made pointing out all the idiocies inherent in any of the ‘G-Man is Gordon Freeman from the future’ theories that crop up time and again. If I ever bother re-writing it, I must save an offline copy, since it crops up every six months or so and never gets any less nonsensical.
