Not sorta. Games today now are shit
So, today or now? I want to know later tomorrow.
I already know since yesterday before.
Before yesterday later tomorrow in the week, half life 3 will be released.
It already has been.
In the future conditional sense, yes.
You’re with Eli and Alyx, heading to the hangar where Alyx has fixed up an old helicopter with the intent of reaching the Borealis. Eli takes a moment to pull you aside and implores you to destroy the ship when you find it.
As you enter the hangar, advisors attack and immobilize all three of you. Eli is killed, but D0G appears just in time to save you and Alyx and drive off the advisor. Alyx cries over her father’s lifeless body as the screen fades to black. Somber music plays as the credits roll.
You can also hear Gabe reojoicing over the thought of leaving the story on that cliffhanger and never deal with it again.
Right, thanks Pyro. Definitely remember Gabe rejoicing though
Haha what if it’s hidden in the code for the ending sequence?
it’s not hidden, it’s in the developer commentary mode
i’m thinking i should play ep2 again, maybe all of hl2
although i was really holding off until bm proper is released… maybe just ep2
or… portal
Go with EP2. Imo, it’s the best of all the Hl2s.
^Definitely. The forest setting was a refreshing change for the series. EP1 is also the worst IMO.
Agreed. But I thought half life 2 was excellent as well. Ep 1 was fun sometimes, but was kinda stale imo
Ep.2 is the only one from the HL2 era that I can stand to play all the through more than a couple times.
I loved all parts of the HL series except for one part of HL2:Ep1. I did not like the escort mission at the end where you have to protect citizens and transport them to the train station. Was too long and felt too much like a chore.
EP1 > HL2 imo
I liked how most of Episode One managed to balance combat to puzzles in just about every map. There was always something new happening every ten minutes or so. Episode Two shifted the balance to more combat, which made sense due to the overall darker tone of the game, but I still missed the puzzles.
I hated that part too. The biggest issue, IMO, was that you had to go through the same area repeatedly and it got really stale. They did a decent job trying to keep it fresh each run, but it would have been better with no repetition at all.
I agree, though, that EP2 was great. The only part I didn’t really like was the strider fight at the end, and especially how annoying it was to keep Magnusson devices on hand.
