65GB? You’ve got to be kidding me. Space isn’t an issue for me and it should download pretty quickly overnight but still. I can’t imagine all of that space is needed, there has to be bloating somewhere. Wonder how long until repacks come out.
Edit: Also, the requirements don’t seem too different from MP3, which is surprising to me.
Edit 2: Oh, and delayed again? Wasn’t expecting that after the already two fucking delays. I don’t know why Rockstar thinks anyone is going to bother buying the game after being fucked over so many times. Maybe that’s their plan. It’s a stupid plan.
Maybe it’s because I haven’t been keeping up until recently, but I think this is the only real PC delay I’ve heard of. I also don’t feel fucked over, and still plan on buying the game without bitching.
The initial release wasn’t put on PC, which I guess is kind of understandable. Then the “next gen” version was released on consoles a while ago and the PC version was supposed to be released this month (instead of at the same time). And now it’s being released in March. So two actual delays, but three if you count the PS360 version coming out without a PC release.
I kind of want to play GTAV sometime this decade.
The amount of money you can spend on a graphics heavy PC to make this game look great is the same amount of money you can spend on a PS4 and a nice TV. the release is setup this way to get everyone who has a console to buy the game. The only market left now is the die hard PC only crew, and they tend to pirate games so it is a very low priority
I’m sure part of the reason they pirate games is because companies always shit on the people who play on PC. Games are poorly ported, don’t take advantage of PC hardware, are delayed, etc. And, you know, being delayed 2 years isn’t really much of an incentive for people to want to support Rockstar, only for the next game to be the same way.
And you talk as if GTAV on the PS3 and 360 weren’t up on torrent sites weeks before release. It’s like this for every game. The console (last gen, I don’t think you can pirate current gen games yet) versions are always up weeks before release and weeks before the PC version is up.
And devs like Ubisoft saying they have 90% piracy ratios doesn’t make people want to take anyone that talks about piracy seriously as well. As far as I know there are no legitimate studies showing that piracy has any real effect on sales rates. I’m sure it does have some effect, but not nearly to the extent that devs want people to believe. And wouldn’t you want to put out a good product on time to convince people to buy the game rather than giving them bullshit two years later?
Hell, some companies can’t even put out a working product at all (coughubisoftcough), let along a working PC version.
One has to wonder what they are fixing that needs an extra two months. The pc release of gta IV was really pretty bad. A delay like this so close to the release date makes me worry more than anything else.
Actually it sorta makes me confident they’re gonna avoid fucking it up as bad as they did 4. I think the relatively low system requirements assist in that as well.
Maybe the delay was so they could ensure the PC version took advantage of available hardware and wasn’t poorly ported and buggy. 
A delay is not the end of the world. They could have released a shitty PC port with the last-gen consoles. Instead they’re taking the time to make sure it’s up to snuff with the current-gen systems graphically, is capable of running at 4K resolution, and has no bugs. Don’t get so worked up and butthurt about it. They’re not shitting on us, they’re just taking the care and time to ensure they don’t.
It makes me pretty confident they’re assholes, games go gold weeks if not months before the release date, they knew a long time ago it wasn’t making January and turned around when asked about a delay said nah no current plans for delays.

I’m going with this, people don’t know shit about hl3 and to me that already makes it more interesting.
I don’t get the “I have to wait so I’m not interested” mentality. Sure, I may not be as totally hyped as I was back when this game was first announced, but I’m still every bit as interested in playing it, if not even more so.
I’m actually suddenly very interested in the port. I may yet buy it.
