My favorite part is in HL2. It is when you arrive back in City 17 from Ravenholm and you face the combine that were attacking resistance members. After the fire fight inside of the building and a guy asks if anyone is hurt, it kind of gets to me when it shows Winston down on the ground. Everyone is so sympathetic and when you go into the back room and find all of the other injured men and women, it gets to you. It shows how much you need to end the tyranny of the combine. Anyways that scene alone puts the biggest impact on my brain.
first time fighting an ichthyosaur. great moments. lol i tried tom kill it with a crowbar XD
so who is this guy, “freeman”
you think he’s responsible, for sabotage
yeah maybe, but I know for sure is that he’s been killin’ my buddies
oh he’ll, pay, he will definitely pay
fires grenade launcher
My favourite part of EP2 is the ending. The Borealis is revealed, Eli talks to you about G-man and that he have so much to tell you. It’s all so well written, the mood is awesome and it’s truly emotional. This is what makes the Half-Life series so special compared to many other games.
My favorite moment is the vista down in the antlion caves in Ep2, at the point where the vort picks up the extract. I’m a sucker for atmosphere.
The AR3 talk from episode 2.
…wrestling down hunters with bare hands:retard:
Rooftops, even though it was cut.
(I’ve always had a strange ‘obsession’ with rooftops. Even in the old Twisted Metal games, Rooftops was among my most favored levels, they actually may have been the cause for this feeling.)
There are many moments like when i first say Alyx ^^ but my favorite half life moment was in EP2 when DR. Magnusson said “if you succeed, i will foregive you about what you did in Black Mesa… with my food in the mircowave” (I’m sorry if it be good english not =P)
i dont know exactly what he said but that was the sence about it and as i first heard it I really started laughing^^
Puts on flamesuit
Residue Processing.
[COLOR=‘Black’]YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH
I really liked Surface Tension as a whole… it kicked serious ass.
Your Flamesuit protects you…
…for now
I’ve got a lot of favorite moments from this series…
The playground during the beginning of Half-Life 2.
When I walked over to that playground, hearing children laughing with no children around, only too see a broken and beaten doll on the ground, it got to me. The sad scene was pretty much telling me that “There are no children in this world anymore.” which is later heard by Dr.Breen, addressing the “Suppression Field.”
Probably one of my all time favorite moments in the series that really made me feel sad about the current world the people must have been living in…
Being brought to the top of The Citadel.
Just seeing the inner workings of The Combine was interesting and horrifying enough, but the view of the city, lit in the night was just beautiful.
I really liked this moment…
Emerging from the subway to find the city in ruins.
The first time I walked out of the subway, I just said to myself “Wow.”
Then looking at the Citadel made me want to leave the city as soon as possible.
The Hospital…
The ending of Half-Life 2: Episode 2.
It was…bitter sweet.
That’s all I’ll say.
HL1: Tragic moment - first seeing like a HECU soldier shoot “Oh my God, I’m glad to see you guys!” scientist
Hl BS: Soldiers drag unconscious Freeman
HL OpFor: G-man reactivate a hydrogen bomb
HL2: Metro-cop reveals himself as Barney
HL2 ep1: intro, especially dramatic Dr.Breen words.
HL2 ep2: Eli’s death(so dramatic turn)
The Gman’s 1-2-1 speech in ep2.
:meh:
…Lucky. I have a severe problem with cubemaps that forces me to skip this vortal coil.
I loved the whole Surface Tension chapter in the original Half-Life, that section was crazy and had some kick-ass shootouts. But I think the last bit in City 17 from Half-Life 2 just beat it, when you were in the huge building full of Combine and surrounded by Striders blasting the hell out of it. It was amazing.
I am undecided between the G-Man one-to-one in episode 2 and destroying the citadel in Half-Life 2. They are both great moments.
I liked RP as well. Great atmosphere and I hope BM does it justice (I don’t see why it wouldn’t).
