I don’t think he disappeared. People would have said something if he’d disappeared. He was probably just in some other part of White Forest or maybe at another base. That said, I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t appear in Episode 3 in some form or another.

Barney will be among the first of characters we see in Episode 3, if I’m correct I win one internets.

That’s a high-poly model used to bake a clean normal map, nobody is going to use an extremely dense model like that in games.

Yes, but you’d still think they’d mention he was missing.

And I’m not saying he was definitely at White Forest, but it seems more likely than him being randomly killed or captured. Or as I said before, he might have gone to some other base and will catch up with us later.
