well we all know thew are drawings, but, however they are good! Valve should show us at least a small sneak peak!
So yea, i wanna play it.
Who doesnt, episode 2 was awsome, Im sure ep3 will be, besides they left us at an exciting part, FREE HELI RIDE
Besides those concept drawings and the fact that part of it will be in the Borealis, there is nothing else out there on it.
There was this from Doug Lombardi:
I figure this thread is all about posting any mention of Ep3 :jizz:
the combine have Captured and secured the Borealis, and are using the tech onboard to build a new teleporter thingy to reach their old world… Might explain why there appears to be “Citadel” architecture surrounding the Boat in the concept art.
I believe the Borealis will not sail. :retard:
Now:
After getting Mossman’s message and learning of the Borealis, you and Alyx head up to some type of arctic environment in the helicopter Alyx fixed up (Canada? Greenland? Norway?!) to retrieve the ship. Something probably goes wrong, (i.e., the helicopter gets shot/breaks down,) forcing you to go on foot. You meet arctic combine or some freaky type of Xen lifeform, maybe find a rebel base, and through some means you make it to the Borealis. Obviously it’s occupied, and somehow you’ll get in it, and either they’ll send you to Xen to seal up the border world, or make you destroy the Borealis…
My Theory :
You get on the helicopter with Alyx, and start a small journey up north. You are racing the Combine towards the Borealis, and sure enough, shortly before reaching it, the Helicopter is shot down by Combine forces. Alyx is unharmed, and you begin your trek through the artic wasteland, somewhere along the way, the Combine would find you, and you are forced to take refuge with a group of Rebels. After fighting off the small scouting party, you are quickly given a Snowmobile(or somesort of vehicle), and told to escape before more show up. After a journey through the artic, fighting Combine Forces, and Xen Creatures (Bullsquid and Houndeyes! ) You finaly make it to the Borealis, where the combine are setting up a large portal to bring in more combine synths and such. You destroy the ship and portal, and effectively seal the Combine off from the rest of the Empire.
from those pictures , the combine are already there…
Well, from the hunters in Mossman’s transmission, they’ve been there since Episode 1.
/agree.
Most likely you’ll follow a path similar to the arctic region in the original plot of HL2 but not necessarily in the order listed at the link below.
wow, i just noticed thres a ship imbeeded into the ice on the fgirst pic.
I belive that alyx and gordon are shot down, and crashes in to an combine outpost, where you have to shoot your way out, and steals a combine vehicle, and drives/flys to the borealis. When they get there they search the borealis for a place where they can put explosives, and blow it up. As the find a spot, G-man comes up, and stops time, revealing to gordon that a combine was pointing a gun to his head. He gives a long speach, about how he had come so far, but that his journey will end here. He stops his speach with the words “Wake up, Dr Freeman. You’re late.” The screen then fades to black, and then revals that Gordon had fell asleep at the transit system, and that G-man had shown him the future.
Sounds a little far-fetched, I know, but it could be true.
everything can be true , it’s a SF game…
Don’t forget that one
And i really hope that valve gonna show Ep3 in E3
It’s unlikely that they will. They might just say a little something about it. Well, That’s good enough isn’t it?
i doubt they started making the whole “game” side of the game…, it’s highly unlikely that they will show gameplay…
More concept art may have been made.
Even if Gabe Newell will come to the stage and say “Half-Life 2: Episode 3 !” ill be happy.
We came to the situation that even a word about it is a party to celebrate.
Let us hope
