About the Gman, I don’t want to learn much about him, as I love seeing and knowing him as a mysterious, unknown individual.
Gman is actually the head of the Combine and he’s using Gordon in a Xanatos Gambit- on one hand, he’s giving the humans a false sense of victory before completely destroying humanity, and yet he also hates himself and the combine enough that he wishes for Gordon to destroy him.
Hah, I wonder if the final game will wind up that way. (Nope.)

That’s still pure speculation, I hope for it but I somehow doubt it will happen.

I bet we still won’t see any relation between portal 2 and ep3 because in ep3 you get side tracked as soon as you leave white forest, and only reach the borealis in a huge cliffhanger at the end of the episode, doomed to wait 7 years until Valve announces half life 3.
I do think HL3 is being worked on in some way at this time.
