Well if you listened to the commentary of EP2, you would know that the copter battle was originally made for EP3, but since they finished it so soon, they used it for episode 2. Then they made a statement of possibly showing something for christmas in regards to episode3 (even though they didnt). In short, the “game” part of the game has been in the works for a long time.

a long time may be the release date of ep2 , in that case it’s dissapoiting cause they are using the same engine , it’s a good engine but…bleh !, it’s so last summer

Man, Ep3 is SO going to end with gordon waking up in the transit system, and he like meets gman, and hes like “WTF, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? LEAVE ME ALONE!!!” Cuz gman had the same dream as gordon, but he had gordon following him. :slight_smile:

Back to the topic of episode 3 btw

Has anyone else had the idea of a supercharged portal gun? Like the supercharged grav gun although the supercharged portal gun would be like that teleporter thingy in opposing force so if you shot a portal at an enemy they’d be teleported to somewhere

i think that already happens in normal opposing force , a supercharged teleporter would be bigger and more powerful , if it has it’s own gravity like the ones in portal , it could be a black hole gun , ah , the fun-ness xD

lol it would be good if Gordon ends up in the combine overworld with a supercharged grav gun and portal gun. They’d have to make it so that the player has to use both weapons though

i think wats going to happen would be… gordon and alyx get on the copter like at the end of EP2 then in the helicopter they are being chased by advisors and you have this awesome helicopter fight action going on untill ultimatly you crash and you have to hoof-it from there and you find out the combine are already occupying borealus you invade it then you kill the leader incharge of the borealus operation and you get a prototype portal gun like in portal that can only be used in the ship and then its a mix of portal and HL2 where you have to use the gun to get around but you also have to use your guns to kill combine then ultimatly the portal gun itslef is used to ge to where you and is needed to destroy the ship wether it be explosive or transport to other demention and probably you steal a combine vehicle or something before you get thereand after you destroy the ship he saves you and alyx from the blast or the teleportation to be “used again at a later date” my ideas for HL3 would be finding more about g-man and possibly killing him like that one guy said Hey is SF anythings possible even the killing of someone like G-man

ofc i mean hl3:ep 1 because vaulve reaslesed they like the ideas of episodes rather than one large game so technacly we all have been palying HL3 just different name (hl2:ep3 is last installment of HL2 but not neccesarily the franchise so i dont think freemans going to die or even alyx and im onyl using HL3 For a name holder i dont think its ganna be called 3

I doubt ep 3 will end at the borealis. The concept art depicts gordon in the overworld and as it’s the last in the HL2 series it would be kind of a shame not to see the overworld before HL3 happens

yeah whell you get the gyst of what i mean thats just an outline of what id see so maby like how i said you transport the shit to another dimention or something maby you get transported whith it and like in the origonal when your on xen your on the overworld and G-man saves you again

I’m pretty set on Gordon/Alyx traveling to the Borealis will be the first half, while the second half will hopefully be just Gordon in the Combine homeworld.

Gordon destroys all, only to be stasis’d again by the G.

Simple, but I’ be happy with that.

i’d be fine to end where it all started :d , you get through a portal and you see yourself pushing that thing , then you stop yourself and return , and watch the world change :-?
