I don’t understand how you could interpret it that way. That is completely the opposite, Jesus is saying that some of the Deuteronomical and Levitical laws ARE wrong.

God made it simple, he gave them the 10 commandments but to them it wasn’t enough they decided to go against god and make their own rules, 644 to be exact. The only laws that they needed were the 10 commandments but they chose to make it complicated. Jesus came to correct that to accomplish the old covenant and open the door to heaven.

“your hearts were hard”, you were bad, “moses wrote you this law”, you were punished.

Danielsangeo pretty much ignored the point and meaning of each of those scriptures and went ahead with pushing his opinion in whatever way best suited his interests. Not gonna bother arguing against him and others because, I don’t really need to, and secondly, there is no point. Doing so will probably be like talking to a brick wall.

Every atheist who really looks into it can’t find any rebuttals to his arguments. But I shouldn’t really expect you to care enough since you’re so obviously complacent or apathetic. Also, your logic is religion makes you feel warm and fuzzy, atheism doesn’t (not entirely true). Just because something makes you feel good doesn’t mean it’s right. I don’t like to believe that america’s economy is fucked, does that make it any less true?

That’s why it’s kind of silly using scriptures as argumentation methods in the legal arena. Each person has their own interpretation on what the scriptures mean and any time two interpretations clash, there’s really no point in arguing further because it’s like talking to a brick wall…on both sides.

Best to leave the Bible out of it. :slight_smile:

Summa Theologica is based on a flawed presupposition: that God must be the universe’s creator. It works internally but is otherwise a worthless circular platitude since no one can prove that God actually did create the universe and that it wasn’t, in fact, sneezed out of the nose of the Great Green Arkleseizure.

When you presuppose characteristics that have not shown to be in evidence, then anything is possible…and the argument is worthless.

I stopped reading after page 6…it got to be pretty pointless. Anyway, we are just another animal. More intelligent, yes-but better-no. A dolphin is (supposedly) more intelligent than a dog. Does that mean the dolphin has a *right over the dog-ABSOLUTELY NOT. They both are animals trying to survive, so are we. We are **equal with them.

*Rights do not exist in nature, what wins, wins. Right now humans are at the top, we are winning.
