I didn’t have the time to play it that much (especially because the game crashed everytime there was a cinematic), but not from what I saw.
And was Prophet the player in the first one? It’s been months since I played it.

No. Prophet is in charge of Nomad in the original Crysis.
spoilrs[COLOR=‘Black’]the part where you get trapped in the lab and have to kill a helicopter was hard, I finally meet this gould guy and he doesn’t even get killed
i’m at the rooftops level now, road rage was pretty fun even though you only get to drive for about 200m
I was wondering about this little thought:
You think Crysis 2 will have about the same or maybe even less of a tax on computer hardware? What I mean by that is, since C2 takes place in NYC wouldn’t it at least in part be easier to process since instead of a moving dynamic jungle it’s more-so static buildings and thus mostly static shadows?
I mean of course combat graphics will still be the same if not more intense and textures seem to be crisper so maybe it’ll even out. But doesn’t this kinda make a point?
No, I think the original was just poorly optimized. Crysis 2 is less power hungry and more optimized because EA insisted they develop for consoles, which are like an average gaming rig from 2007.
Yeah. Crysis 2 runs greats on my comp, while the original (excluding Warhead) has got little issues. And they’ll probably optimize it a bit more by the release.
Yeah, I could run Crysis on medium-high but the minimum specs for Crysis2 are way above my hardware so I’m not even gonna try running it.
the specs were fake dammit.
Alrighty then!
if it runs too slow edit system.cfg like this
It worked fine yesterday, but I’m now getting a black screen on every cinematic?!
Scale down the res, apparently it’s a performance issue.
B-But it looked so pretty at max res before…
Yeah, for me too. 1920 x 1080 is just so much better than 1152 x 864
I don’t know what to tell you guys, hasn’t happened to me once.
I lowered the resolution because my GPU started crashing and showing artifacts whenever I use nanovision and armor mode.
Maybe it didn’t crash because I use system.cfg to set the resolution.
r_width=1440
r_height=900
nope there are not fake heare is from the official forum

It’s not working properly because it’s a beta, report the bug and wait for the full release.
Report the bug? Just send Crytek an email saying that we found some bugs in the leak that we illegally downloaded, right?
Sersoft, I get the scratchy weapon sounds only when using the 64 bit version of the game, I’m guessing that’s what you’re using.
