I disagree, vand. I think Crysis 2 is a legitimate piece of canon as several concepts from the first game are back, for example, the aliens. The only reason that the aliens are different is because they are evolving from their previous incarnations from Crysis 1, and given that C2 takes place 3 years after the first, it makes canonical sense. Be glad it’s not the transition from far cry 1 to far cry 2.
No. Everything bright has a cheesy fucking ghosting effect. I know it’s supposed to simulate what happens when the human eye/ camera sees a light but it’s damn annoying.

really? Prophet’s back, so therefore it’s a complete and smooth continuation of the Crysis story?
I guess compared to HL/HL2 that might seem acceptable, but I thought Crysis was a planned trilogy, this seems like a sharp break from the initial story arc.
Those min specs were actually a very pleasant surprise. My already fairly old computer will demolish this game on the lowest settings.
I don’t see how you guys feel it’s not a continuation from the previous game. It only makes sense that the alien invasion would spread and that we should see the effect it is having around the globe. What better place than the city? We have returning main characters and the same main villain, I don’t see the problem.
The only thing I see that doesn’t contribute to it being a continuation is the same main playable character.

I would use “r_glow 0” instead, because that doesn’t effect the values of the hdr effect itself, it just removes the godawful glow it puts on surfaces.
