Crysis 2

oh, the horror. :stuck_out_tongue:

also, for those of you who are aggravated by the graphical options, you saw this coming:

^^there was one even before the multiplayer beta iirc

Consoles, because Cevat Yerli actually stated that consoles hinder the development and design possibilities.

Only reason i would buy it is because of multiplayer. The MP beta on xbox was fun.

you should buy it because sp

i haven’t tried the SP yet, except for the first few minutes. it ran at about 7 FPS all the time. i’m buying a new computer tho :stuck_out_tongue:

and next time the whole menu of the game is the community’s job…

Some assembly required.

At least there is a devkit.

In the actual game it says “Press Enter”… Too much leak/MP beta? :stuck_out_tongue:

/demo

had a quoting error originally, don’t pay any attention to this post.

That’s too general, plenty of people here love the game, including myself.

Meaning? Crytek just changed it after a ton of raging in the community, still shows it’s a console port.

They even removed the Aim Assist feature only because of the raging community.
(Although it didn’t even work for mouse input)

That was a bit unnecessary. Not like I’d ever use a gamepad on a PC game, but seriously.

Crytek is afraid by all the negative community response. They should know that they did the right thing with seperating high end graphics system and playable game engine.

I disagree. They made a mistake trying to appease all the people who couldn’t play Crysis 1 maxed out when it first came out. I’d rather turn down the settings and have the game look the way it does now than play it maxed out and know that in the future, when I upgrade my hardware, I can’t make it look any better.

So what if you have to run it on medium? It’ll look and run the way it does now on max settings, except you’ll have the opportunity to turn it up even more in the future. I just don’t understand it, and am disappointed Crytek gave in so easily. Long live Crysis 1.

This. I’m on my, oh, probably fourth or fifth play through of Crysis 1, and it’s been a different game each time. TripleCCC makes it awesome too

[COLOR=‘Red’]EDIT: Things that show it’s a console port:

  • In the demo, “Press Start”, but I can get over it, they changed it to “Enter”
  • Aim assist
  • No advanced graphics menu out of the box (even then, the community had to create this)
  • Brightness settings - “Please adjust your TELEVISION” (last time I checked, most PC users have MONITORS; for sure, more people are attaching TVs to their PCs now, but if that’s the case, the verbiage should be “Adjust your DISPLAY”))
  • Constant prompts for pressing a button (Press F to Power Kick)
  • No quicksave/quickload, or any save option at all. Death to checkpoints… (show me a current-gen console game that has a quicksave button)
  • No DirectX10 or DX11 support…in 2011…when the first game made excellent use of DX10.

I don’t know…
In my opinion most people are too picky about all the little things like “Press Start”.

If you truly enjoy a good game then that shouldn’t bother you… -_- … and from what I’ve seen the graphics still look amazing, no matter how much more amazing crysis’ may have been.

I haven’t even played crysis 2 yet, but I can say that I would like the New York setting way more than a huge jungle with kind of slow gameplay.
