Crap double post
I might get it today, but I honestly don’t have much interest in the game. I have too many other games to worry about.
I’m on the second to last level and don’t get me wrong , its a good game... but it feels like its missing something. can’t pinpoint just what it is though…
Playing it and loving it so far.
Me too! It’s really a nice followup. (more of an addition, actually,)
My only problem is it FORCES you to have a Windows “Games for PC” Live account just to freaking save… That’s Microsoft trying mooch off of Steam for you.
EDIT: That and no proper AA, but that can easily be overridden with any decent GPU control panel. Gotta’ love Unreal Engine…
Other than that, it’s a GREAT game.
May contain spoilers:
EDIT2: Alright… Something really annoying.
At this point in the game, her voice is chopped up. Is that intentional? The video on the screens plays out find, but her voice is screwy. No other sounds have been this way.
Also see able in that screenshot, I’ve forced AA, but the edges still seem quite sharp. Help?
I suspect the novelty of the environment has worn off. The first one had a new and exciting place to explore, and even with that it got tired by the end. Now its just more of the same.
I enjoyed the underwater segments. Also liked the level in the just-drained area. Forget the name. All the sea-flora on the walls and whatnot.
Also: Anybody else notice the near-complete drop-off of diaries around the middle of the game, save those that were pertinent to the main storyline. I mean, Mark whats-his-face’s storyline dropped off the face of the earth for quite a while, then BAM, there he is again. I enjoyed the masses of side-story info in the first.
Well sound glitch was fixed by restarting game, but Unreal still seems to look like utter shit. At least in BS1 you could force AA…
So much win
, also I’ve played it and it’s pretty damn good so far. But I still think the game didn’t need a multi-player.
Yeah I’m liking it more than Mass Effect, actually.
I like it but I can’t help to rage quit on when I die, I find it silly that I have to go through all my ammunition and eve to kill a rosie but yet two splicers can kill me if they shoot me with a revolver a couple of times.
Of course if they made the main character as strong as a normal big daddy then I guess it’d be too easy but… meh…
Finished it, as good or even better than first.
Alright, I bought it after hearing my friends tell me how awesome it is. I had the money so I thought “hey, why the hell not?”
I’m on Level 3. And for the most part I agree with them.
I was worried about being a Big Daddy, because it seemed like they were trying to make it another “armored badass” shooter, but the way they do it is very interesting. It gives you a larger connection towards the Little Sisters, which makes the decision to either harvest or save them even harder than it was in the first game.
In other words, 2K Marine gave as much care and attention to the story as 2K Boston did with the first game… as far as I can tell at least.
The multiplayer is fun too. Whether or not it was a necessary addition is beyond me, but I’d rather not complain because I can set noobs on FIRE with my HAND!
Edit: Oh yeah, and there are Ryan Audio Logs in the game. Hell yeah, more Andrew Ryan!
Crap, I’m still waiting for it. Hopefully it’ll be here by friday
My friend down the hall got the 90 dollar uber pack, and he just got a message saying that there might be a 2 to 4 week delay on his delivery due to some stupidity on the shipping company’s part.
Needless to say, he wouldn’t shut up about it. Still won’t.
I am currently awaiting my $90 Special Edition copy. should arrive via local postal Service sometime next week or the week after next (I chose the Uber-cheap Free shipping) I’m certainly in no rush to play.
Why does anyone order their copy online? Just pre-order it at a local GameStop or Steam.
Because people are stupid and think “overnight” isn’t “2 to 5 weeks” half the time.
b/c a few of us don’t get many opportunities to visit their local used videogame retailers especially considering snow storms hinder most unnecessary trips to such.
looks out the window, and sees a shit load of snow
Good point.
