BioShock 2...

The fact they’ve put multiplayer in a Bioshock game just shows how much they’re catering to the consolers.

Still, it’s an awesome part.

Half-Life 1 had multiplayer. Is that a “stoopid console-fag” game?

No but bioshock never originally had multiplayer unlike half-life.

So what? It adds more value to the game. And even if it doesn’t, blaming it on the “console-tards” is simply elitist, childish, and fanboyish.

It’s an RPG for god’s sake. There’s no reason to waste effort on multiplayer.

Plus the fact they’ve got a MW2 style progressive upgrade system goes to strengthen my point. The first Bioshock didn’t strike me as a game that needed MP, that’s all.

Have you ever played Bioshock 1? It’s barely an RPG.

A seperate team did the multiplayer, don’t lose them their jobs!

who cares if it has multiplayer, don’t play it if you don’t like the idea. Personally though i’ll try it and if it is shithouse i wont play it.

I agree. But now that it does have multiplayer, it helps justify the $50-$60 you’ll be spending on an otherwise 8 hour game.
“Oh, there’s a mw2 style progression system.” So what? Call of Duty 4 had one of the best multiplayer progression systems ever, and it was vastly improved in MW2. Just because MW2 is popular doesn’t mean it sucks, btw.

Thank you for being reasonable.

Just played 15min of it, all i can say is thats its jaw dropping.

I’m going to agree with JohnKiller on this point. While I, personally, think Bioshock multiplayer is worthless. The point is, it’s there in addition to the game. Is there a reason to hate added value, no matter how small?

Best thing is, you don’t HAVE to play multiplayer GASP!

I liked the first lack of multi-player. The single player was so kick ass it didn’t even need multi-player. I personally hate the common standard of games have MP. I like games made for single player and games made for mp the specialization means that the game can really excel in what it does. It may mean less content but i would take a better product of more of it any day.

Yeah but i can’t see the MP harming the SP in anyway in this case.

It takes up resources, the MP team could have easily helped with the sp.

What the hell does MP have to do with consoles? I wanted MP to be in the first one!

Steam says it’s now available. Though, there is some weirdness in the Store tab of the Steam client that shows duplicate entry for purchasing Bioshock.
Pre-order offer has expired.

RPS has an interesting review about the (XBox360 version of the) game.

Anyone knows if they will release SDK / tools for modding this time around?

Also, what’s the final deal with the DRM ? Are there installation limitations?

Just got an email that they’ve shipped BioShock 2

You’re using the same mentality of the retards that suggest the BMSTeam needs to team up with the guys remaking Opposing Force.
More People=/=Automatically Better Game

There you go. The game kicks ass. As long as that kick assery is maintained for the entire game, it will prove once and for all that it IS possible to have a great singleplayer and good multiplayer AT THE SAME TIME.

More people doesn’t necessarily make a great game your right, but it does affect production time. Iv played Bioshock 2 and i think its really crap, does that make the game crap? no its an opinion. And by the sounds of it, doesn’t seem like you have even got your hands on a copy yet.
