BF3 Not on steam

I think this is rather retarded of EA, considering them having pre orders on steam as well would only lead to more people seeing this game on the home page and potentialy buying it.

Anyone who is the type to pre-order this game probably already knows it exists. And if they don’t know it exists then they probably wouldn’t bother pre-ordering it even if they saw it pop up on steam.

Sure we’re gonna buy that EA :expressionless:

They just want to keep all the revenue through their own network…
The small digital redistributors don’t have any choice but to accept their terms, while steam has a choice, seems like EA hit a wall there…
“restricted player support” my ass

LOL.

EA supporting players…

As long as I don’t have to download Origin with the retail version.

well
you’ll have to

Well, bought some games on sale due to Quakecon.

Guess I know how I’ll be getting BF3. :pirate:

How do you know?

i know things

Eh, Origin hasn’t cut my balls off yet, so if BF3 requires that, it won’t be the end of the world.

Gamers always overreact to anything.

Well if it was required then I have no choice but I would rather not have to download Origin.

Me neither but it’s not nearly as bad as people think it is.

But it’d take up a few MBs that could be used for something else. Like porn :retard: .

steam sux btw

From a guy who’s played the alpha, i would assume it’s because you launch the game from a website. It has a landing page which gives you the choice of which mode you want to play (SP, CO-OP, MP).

I could and probably am wrong because you get to the landing page from EA’s digital game store Origin, so the others who are saying that it’s Valve’s fault, i wouldn’t doubt it.

Just because you launch the alpha from a website doesn’t mean it’ll be like that for the final game.

I hope it’s not like that in the final game.

Either way, I’m buying retail, if I have to tie it to an Origin account, so be it.

I guess I’ll pass on BF3, I never liked bloom-filled screens anyways. BFBC2 was already hard to look at.
