What can I say, it´s true : /
^ That must be you then, because BF3 runs at 50-60 fps pretty consistently, while ICE gets 25-30.
Considering how few other games can match BF in scale and how BF itself is kinda well known for being unique in this, I wouldn’t quite call it generic. Not a lot of other MP war games have this large player count, with this variety of vehicles, and this map size. The ones that DO come close, did so AFTER BF did it. Sure, all the kids love throwing that word around nowadays, but after a point it gets ridiculous.
How exactly does the Physical Warfare pack work anyway? Do I have to do anything to unlock the stuff or should I have it by default?
Fair enough, could be a hardware config, but aniway doesn´t really matter.
Just finished the campaign, and while I enjoyed it, and it was quite epic at certain points, the ending was a bit meh, which was dissapointing, still…some levels where awesome and the ones that where not where still good : ) All in all, enjoyable single player : )
…bit short though, but then again, 8h seems to acceptable lenght for a game today…
It was only 3-4 hours long for me on Normal.
I had to enter the code from my receipt into Origin.
Rush much?
I took my time and enjoyed it :retard:
I didn’t rush at all, it’s just a short campaign with only like 8-12 levels.
Don’t believe I did - just sayin’ it can run on a poor-man’s rig (such as mine) and the gameplay has some of the typical frustrations.
Thanks God I didn’t throw my receipt away then. The code was highlighted on there but nobody told me so I had no clue.
Anyway, I just finished the campaign and it was much shorter than I thought it was going to be. I enjoyed it though. The ending was kind of anticlimactic though. The animation and voice acting was top notch though.
Great voicework in the cutscenes but the story is boring, or just not told in an exciting way, partly due to some of the levels being almost completely absent of music. What exactly did the jet part have to do with the story anyway? I could’ve skipped that section and the rest of the game would have been the same.
I think that the jet level was my least favorite.
It’s probably the closest most of us will get to flying a jet
Loved the jet level, being a WSO is less complicated than being a pilot, always sucked with handling a plane
That said, the campaign is fun but not to the level of MW, too short, blend and plagued with the dumbest AI I’ve ever seen. And I’m sorry but animations outside movements sucked big time.
I wish they actually let us control vehicles in the campaign…
You know, instead of being the guy that deploys the mortar in a fucking cutscene, I want to deploy it and fire it myself. Instead of being the WSO, why can’t I just fly the jet like in MP? It would be a great way to introduce people to the controls. Why are they skipping all these chances to get players used to the tools they already have fucking access to instead of forcing them on to the sidelines?
They had a chance to enrich the MP environment and get new players accustomed to the less mainstream mechanics of flight and all that shit, and be able to avoid people that aren’t used to it fucking MP up. I still wish there were vehicle practice/ training maps… Like flying jets through rings and shit just to get used to it.
It’s just so ironic how BF’s entire ad campaign was about how good it looked, and how much better than COD it is, but then puts out this COD campaign. It’s a bit embarrassing.
I know BF isn’t about the SP, I’ve said it many times myself, but they’ve already done great campaigns with just enough freedom in BC and even BC2. Why the sudden drop in quality?
At least the voice acting was fucking spot on. I’m so glad the russians spoke russian. I can’t wait till the Russian VO for MP gets activated if ever. Few things are more ridiculous than Russians fighting Americans while speaking English.
I totally agree with you, SP should have been some kind of tutorial with a story. We spend to many times spectating rather being up front fighting. And so many small details that put together ruin the SP
Everyone’s a critic…
Although I thought it was common knowledge considering the size of the round… The round’s a fucking .223 caliber. Not much bigger than a .22
So check yourself before your wreck yourself. :hmph:
M16 fires 5.56mm, which is actually THINNER than the 9mm parabellum round.
So mankyman is right, the bullet itself is pretty damn small and long.
Doesn’t mean that there is little recoil. I never fired a round, but basic physics tells me that the 5.56mm, being smaller yet more destructive than a 9mm, goes faster than it, making the pure recoil without the compensation greater.
It’s kinda obvious though, that assault rifle has more recoil than a pistol, but someone else can do the math to other kind of guns.
BUT ITS A GOD DAMNED GAMEPLAY BALANCE ISSUE THING. WHO CARES ABOUT SPECIFICS ABOUT GUNS WHILE PLAYING A GAME.
I think that the jet level had you as a gunner over a pilot is because some people just plain and simple suck at flying and it would’ve been a brick wall to people, or at least that’s what I can think of.
Also, it has relation to the plot, I just can’t remember what it is right now. :retard:
