Just played some operation firestorm, really reminded me of BF2 with the uncaps and the cranes, parachuted from a downed plane onto one, snuck up behind someone proning and sniping on it and my guy turned him over and plunged the knife into his heart :smiley:

they were probably rendered with a special build of the engine with extra animations. they often render them to video files for simplicity.
No need to include shit in the game that is only needed for cutscenes. and when the results look the same why care?

What ever happened to the terrain deformation? You could blow trenches into the ground in the Alpha and for a little bit in the Beta before they took it out and it doesn’t seem to have made it into the final game.

You can blow craters into the ground, afaik.

All I’ve seen is the ground being discolored and maybe showing stuff underneath but no craters.

Edit: Also, Damavand Peak on conquest is a terrible map. I rushed into a hallway spraying and got like 6 kills.

Getting 6 kills is bad thing?

It’s stupid that the level is set up that way. I don’t want to fight in a goddamn tunnel. And yes, being able to spray in a hallway and kill 6 people shouldn’t happen.

I agree, Davamand Peak is a great Rush map but I wish it would be removed from Conquest, and have all the map files deleted and hard copies burned to the ground.

The conquest version is narrow, disgusting, and you can’t even basejump.

So I’m looking through my weapons on Battlelog and for the A-91 it says “The bullpup configuration prevents the A-91 from mounting either a bipod or a foregrip” and yet the next unlock for it is a foregrip…

So i played it start to finish today, it’s pretty good, and mostly stable, but at the end of the second to last mission there were some glitches that prevented me from continuing, first by not allowing me to fire my weapon, and then not triggering the fade to black.

Yeah but they still cranked up the quality of the models, textures and effects quite a few notches.
